The cool cola babe
At a time when everyone's going global, can Jassi be far behind? Certainly not! The girl next door definitely has reasons to be happy. She will now be seen in a new avatar… no not for her show but for a commercial.
Mona Singh (better known as Jassi) is Coca Cola's new face. An elated-sounding Singh says, "There are hardly any television actors who have done the Coke ad. It feels good."
Considering that she's been changing her attire at the drop of a hat on the popular television show, the obvious question on one's mind is what will she look like in the commercial?
She informs, "It's a 'Coke girl' look. I will be wearing black pants and red kurti. I will also carry Jassi's trademarked pink umbrella."
And how does the commercial run?
"Well, it starts with a young girl stepping out of her house. It begins to rain. She gets wet a little, before she opens her umbrella and announces the new punch line of the cola product, 'Sar utha ke piyo'."
Incidentally, this is not Mona's first tryst with the ad industry. Having endorsed a colour emulsion (before she became Jassi) and a soap (after her claim to fame), another of her ad is yet to be released. But for now, the girl is clearly enjoying drinking some chilled cola.
The cola brand has also roped in Olympic silver medallist shooter Major Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, who will of course appear in a separate advertisement.
While we'll reserve our comment on Rathore's recruitment, Jassi in the top ad seems bang-on!
