Clueless Dada Vashisht

I know title is lil bit tacky but hv a question here. This Dadaji was so rock solid that he didn't allowed RK to marry Sujata, forced RK to marry Suman, never let RK to visit his other family for 27 years( so long period). He didn't bent even for a nanometer. But what happens to him when it comes to Ravish. He is giving permission to do anything. Why he becomes so helpless infront of Ravish. His helpless attitude toward Suman is understood, he might hv guilt of ruining her life but for Ravish, I'm not getting it. Ok Ravish is very good, obedient grandson but that couldn't be criteria for his helplessness. As RK was spineless but still shown as good human being, obedient n he also joined army as per family tradition but Dada denied his love proposal. His aversiveness toward Atharv is higly unacceptable. As Atharv in present condition, not even eligible to categorise as good or bad. He is just a kid. He should hv little feelings for him. Suman hates them but still care for them in her own way but this Dada is a gone case.
