why did Ravish doubt Atharva?

When vividha was telling about her attack, ravish instantly doubted, but how can he doubt Atharva? Didn't he told sethuram to lock Atharva & sujata from outside? Was that a blooper or I am missing something

Becoz he knows that in this house its only atharve who is mentally unstable or he can attack..ab jahan tk rhi baat room lock ki to atharv baha jane main aur sujata sone main maher hai

I think it's because Atharva has escaped before and he trusts everyone else in his house.

Isn't it funny how three adults can't seem to keep Atharva locked in one room? They always make mistakes and he finds a way out, and then blame him for the problems. If they did their jobs properly then no blame would fall on Atharva.

I know but he should atleast have doubted his doubt too. Since he was the one who told Sujata that door will be locked from outside.

Atharva is a mentally sick child he doesn't think properly, but he is way more smarter than 3 sane people who are taking care of him.

Maybe, but still he should have questioned his doubts too. Don't you think so?

True. There are 3 sane people & 1 mentally disturbed person & still he manages to fool them. He is a child, he doesn't know half of the things what he is doing. He just wants his freedom. Sujata is trying her best, sita stays disappear most of the time & ravish let's not go there.

Its a stigma we all have on mentally ill people. If something like that happens only those who are not balanced can do it. Remember the fisrt time he slapped Atharva for sujata AND his wife... In his mind if he did this then he most definitely did that..so to me its not a blopper...

And how can ravish "mistrust" his family ?? Which left him with one option atharva... Even though it was Baby and he could have question it more ..because the atharva he knew was baby A.

And you just spoke my mind...there are three of you and you are his guardian and one of him , plus he is a child...
So the question in this equation is . Who is messing up??...

He thinks Atharva is capable of anything (hitting Sujata with the bat even though it wasn't him, sneaking out, Vividha yelling Atharv's name etc) and that's what Ravish has seen so far is that Atharva is uncontrollable and can harm anyone (duplicate Atharva). That's why his doubt went straight to him...
