Producer rajan shahi who had brought a turn around in the TV industry with two successful shows Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai and Yeh Ristha Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus is coming out with two new shows named Amrit Manthan on Life Ok and Jamuna Paar on Imagine TV.

His three shows are on air - Kuch Toh Log Kahege on Sony, Hawan on Colors and Yeh Ristha Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus and all shows have their unique content and are talked about for novelty the factor. On being asked how does he feel on two shows being launched back to back he says, " I am proud and happy with the company launching two shows which are diametrically different from each other and the credit goes to entire creative team of Directors Kut Production. Amrit Manthan is a show with very strong story edgy characters were every emotion is shown in extreme be it romance, bitterness or suspense. Jamuna Paar is a very sweet simple love story which explore's the cross section of Delhi society behind it, and lots of detailing have been done to get the flavour of Delhi or be it South Delhi or Jamuna Paar. With Jamuna Paar I am introducing two fresh faces Vidhi Parekh and Ankur Verma like I had launched Hina Khan, Karan Mehra,Sara Khan Angad Hasija and Neha Sargam in the past" Amrit Manthan will go on air 26th February on Life Ok and Jamuna Paar will go on Imagine Tv on 27th February.

In our quest to become the perfect soul mate for the love of our life, we often end up changing ourselves only to realize, that the one we loved never wanted us to change. Come 27th February, Imagine TV along with Rajan Shahi's Director's Kut will present to its viewers a fascinating new love story 'Jamuna Paar'. The daily drama will take viewers through a beautiful journey of a girl, Vidhi who transforms herself for love and the boy, Bijju, whom love itself transforms.

Jamuna Paar captures the stark difference that lies between two prevalent cultures in Delhi, each vibrant and lively in its own way but markedly different from the other. The show traces the love story of Vidhi – a talented, yet shy, behind-the-scenes fashion designer, and Bijju - a free spirited, carefree yet very talented boy who is part of his family business of weaving.

Vidhi Malhotra lives in the elite GK 1 area of South Delhi with her father, step- Nani, step-mother and step sister. Bijju Katewa lives Jamuna Paar, Delhi with his huge, joint-family – grandparents, parents, brother and his family and also his father's elder brother and his wife. Bijju lives life on his own terms and does exactly what his heart says.

When these two diametrically opposite people from different worlds, meet, the completely unexpected happens… almost like magic… and overnight… their lives are transformed by love.

The story brings to light the differences, challenges and compromises they face to sustain love through their contrasting personalities, lifestyles and families.

"It is indeed a dream come true for me to be discovered by the creative team in such an unexpected manner. I would like to thank God for giving me this opportunity and I promise to put my heart and soul to making my character as real as possible", said a bubbly Vidhi Parekh, a student of engineering and a HR Consultant by profession who will be seen essaying the character of Vidhi.

Rajan Shahi's 'Jamuna Paar' shoots at India Gate

The new show is about a young couple belonging to two different cultures in the Capital

Producer Rajan Shahi, who recently celebrated Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai completing three years, is ready with his new show Jamuna Paar for Imagine TV. The show is set in New Delhi and the best part is you'll get to see real Delhi! We heard that the show's first schedule was shot at India Gate and the streets of New Delhi. Said Shahi, "India symbolises Delhi not to only India but also the world. I wanted to shoot around January 26 but due to security reasons, we could only shoot in the first week of February. We shot at night so there were lesser crowds to manage, especially for the scene where the lead pair meet each other for the first time. We shot at Chandni Chowk, Hauz Khaas, India Gate and at the Jamuna Paar area for more than a week."

Jamuna Paar traces the love story of Vidhi – a talented yet shy fashion designer, and Bijju – a free spirited, carefree yet very talented boy who is part of his family business of weaving. Jamuna Paar is about the clash between two cultures of Delhi that are both vibrant yet different from each other. Often shows are not shot in the city or town where they are set, but Shahi has valid reasons for shooting in Delhi. "The show has to have the authentic flavour of Delhi. I also wanted to pay tribute to my hometown Delhi through the career I've established in Mumbai. Delhi has a charm of its own," he says. We just hope that comes across in the show.
Jamuna Paar premieres on February 27 at 9pm on Imagine TV
