Roshni finally arrived outside Dev home, and she cringed slightly as she walked upto the main door...
Every step she took towards the front door, her legs got weaker and weaker. She couldn't imagine what was going to happen after she stepped into his house... what Dev had in store for her.
After what seemed forever...she was facing the door behind which her destiny awaited.
She sucked in a deep breath of air, and mustered up enough coutage before she knocked on the door.
Roshni vision was blurred by her tears as she entered Dev home.
Her heart pounded erratically. ..she was scared. She was very scared.
She roughly wiped them away, as she did not want Dev to see her like this. She needed to pretend that she was okay with this sudden situation . She needed to gain his trust ..
Dev approached her with his usual hideous smile
"Welcome. ..Welcome. .Babe. .."
Roshni looked into his dark eyes as he grabbed her and took her into a hug
Roshni closed her eyes...feeling sick and disgusted..
Her mind could only think of Sidharth and the pain she saw in his eyes...
"I didn't mean to hurt you Sidharth...even though it was unintentional . .I have hurt you.
I love you so much Sidharth. ..Please forgive me. But I have to do this" she was so intoxicated with the thoughts of Sidharth, that she didn't hear Dev calling her name.
Dev pinched her hand hard as she shrieked
"Don't you think that is bad manners my dear...I have been talking to you for the last five minutes and you have been ignoring me...you know I hate to be ignored"
Roshni looked at him in fear, as she caressed the place where he had pinched her
KHURANA MANSION
Sidharth paced up and down the corridor. ..
His thoughts were stuck up on one thing...and that was Dev. That one name was the biggest hurdle in his life..
His train of thought was broken by a tap on the shoulder
"Kya soch rahe ho Bro "
Sidharth looked at Rahul, who was already looking at him with concern.
"Yaar. .. I feel cornered, like theres no way out, and its killing me."
Tears welled up in his eyes
"I promised Roshni I would protect her...but how. ...how am i supposed to protect her, when I'm not close to her...Damn it...its driving me crazy"
In his anger he threw a vase on the floor, shattering it to pieces
"Bro. ...Bro...relax..."
"Mein sumjha nahin...What happened?"asked Rahul concerned
"Dev. ..Roshni ko zabardasti apne ghar Le gaya. ..and there was nothing I could do to stop him...Nothing at all."
He turned away "I need to find a way into Devs home Rahul...Roshni is alone. She's vulnerable. I need to find a way to be close to her...to protect her...I can't just sit here... haath pe haath rakhe and do nothing"
"Shes a brave girl our Roshni...putting the family before her fear "
Sidharth smiled with tears in his eyes
"I dont know yaar...What l did to deserve her in my life...she is so precious to me..I can't lose her.." his words trailed off, as he looked into Rahul eyes
"You know Rahul. ..First her childhood was traumatised because of me...Cranky pants...and now her life is being ruined again because of me...and this family...
I promised her happiness.. .but she has nothing but tears..."
He combed his fingers through his hair
" What do I do...mein kya aise karoon ke sab teek ho jaye...how do I make it right..."
Sidharth walked back to the living room and settled back on the coach, cradling his head between his hands.
He was tired of all this mess...He just wanted his Roshni back home safe...where she belonged.
Although it was becoming too much for him to bear. ...he was not ready to back away...
His trance was suddenly broken by Rahul
"Come on Bro. .we'll find a way..."
"I need to think...I can't waste time. ..I need to get into Dev home somehow . ..she's alone with him.. ...What if he tries to. ..." his whole body shuddered...as he closed his eyes trying to push that horrible thought from his mind
"Focus man. ..focus. ." He willed himself
Slowly opening his eyes...He picked up a photo frame from the side table. ..and stared lovingly at her beautiful face..
"Just look at that smile Rahul. ..look how happy she looks..." but soon Sidharth smile disappeared
"You know Rahul. ..last night ...uus nashe ki haalat mein. The words she uttered...saaf saaf uska dard mehsoos ho raha tha mujhe.. her pain. ..her sorrow. ..her fear...hit me right here" Sidharth said teary eyed pointing towards his heart
"Bohut dhuki hai meri Roshni. ..and I will do anything to bring this smile back..That spark...anything" he said in a really low tone looking back at her picture
"Help me Rahul. ..Please help me find a way"
Sidharth and Rahul began to stressed over different ways Sidharth could gain entry into the house...but kept coming up blank.
Soniya had been watching the brothers in action...well in this case no action at all
"I want to say something " Soniya interrupted, raising her hand
"Not now Jellybeans. ...can't you see we're busy " Rahul replied
"But...i was..."
"Please SaaliSahiba, were discussing something very important...maybe later..."
"I know i was just..."
"Jellybean. ..dont you have anything better to do... we're busy thinking here...we need to come up with an idea to get Sidharth into Dev home. ..so please.. quiet "
"Exactly...i was "
""SaaliSahiba. ..Please. ..Later. ..I'm not in the mood"
"I have a plan" she shouted suddenly
Sidharth and Rahul looked at each other
"Plan..." asked Rahul raising an eyebrow
"Yes a jakaas plan" she replied excitedly
Sidharth shook his head and closed his eyes for a moment before opening them again. ..
"Plan...like the one to kidnap Dev. ..and beat the Hell out of him. That kind of plan...Thanks but no thanks SaaliSahiba " replied Sidharth sarcastically
"But..."
"Jellybeans please...not now. Bro is right ...no time for your silly ideas.."
"Silly ideas. ..mere ideas silly hai. ..mein mein. .." she fumed
"Jellybeans relax. ..don't take it personally. ..but please sssh. ."
"But ...I...I..."
"SaaliSahiba. ..not now!!!!!" Shrieked Sidharth "not now"
Both Rahul and Sidharth began to discuss various options amongst themselves. ...
Soniya had had enough. She picked up a vase and smashed it in the floor
Both Sidharth looked at her in shook
"What the Hell was that for Jellybeen..." shrieked Rahul
"Have you lost it SaaliSahiba " added Sidharth
"Acha jee. .look who's talking...you break a vase every ten minutes JeejuSa .. ..so if you can break a vase when you're angry, then why cant I?"
"Jellybean... have you gone mad. ...that vase costs Rs Ten lakhs..."
"Well then buy another one...I've been trying to say something for the last twenty minutes, but you two chauvinistic, egotistic men are not giving me a chance"
"Jellybean.. sweety. .. if you wanted to say something then you should have just said so..." Rahul tried to calm her rising temper
"Really. ... ... "
"Yes...you know I'm always ready to hear you out"
"Seriously. .."
"Of course...jellybeans. .."
"Don't you Jellybean me...you...you..."
"Damn can you two stop fighting, and tell me SaaliSahiba... What's your suggestion is"
"That's more like it..." she replied, as she kneeled down and began gathereing the pieces of the broken vase
"SaaliSahiba. ."
"Hmmm. .."
"Today would be a good time...to tell us your plan "
"Jellybean. ..ab gussa tukh doh. .tell us your plan.. ..."
She looked up at them as she stood up
"Rita. ..."
"Rita what Jellybeans. .."
"Rita as in Devs wife...the one he has an open relationship with remember "
"And...whats your point SaaliSahiba "asked Sidharth keenly
"My point JeejuSa is that, as far as I can remember from our camping trip, she had quite a crush on you..."
Sidharth mouth curved up into a smile "Go on "
"Well I was thinking ...its time to play your card..." she raised her eyebrows at Sidharth, whose face lit up suddenly
"I love the way you think SaaliSahiba "
"Why thank you JeejuSa "
Rahul stood looking eyeing both of them turn by turn...scratching his head
"Huh...I'm lost...so whats the plan" asked Rahul confused
Sidharth and Soniya both looked at each other and burst out laughing.
DEV HOME
Roshni felt her heart stop...the man she feared most in life was there in front of her...she was his new house mate.
A wave of panic surged through her veins as he walked towards her.
Roshni was unabke to look at him...as she felt his eyes would lure her into a devastating trap.
His voice finally broke her out of her trance
"Settled in okay. .dear "
Roshni stood there trying to compose herself enough to answer him back. ...she stood frozen
"Hmmm. .."was all she could manage
"Hmmm what dear " asked Dev. ...his voice was stern
"I uh... I'm fine " she finally managed to say stuttering.
He stood there staring at her...with with hands in his pockets, his eyes so calculating..
Roshni felt as if he could see right through her. ...and the reason why she was there.
Dev didn't say anything but just nodded to her answer.
They stood for a while, as Dev piercing look gave her goosebumps.
She closed her eyes "i wish you were here Sidharth. ...I'm sacred..i need you"
She stood waiting for him to leave but he simply stood there. ..
"Was there something you wanted Dev " she finally said looking up.
He raised is eyebrows at her idiotic question "what do you think i want Roshni" he stated simply
Roshni looked him in the eye...as he smirked back at her
"Anyway. ...i just came to let you know that dinner will be served at 8pm sharp...dont be late!"
Roshni simply nodded as he walked away. .
Roshni let outa deep sigh of relief
"I got to stop reacting this way...I need to find that Pendrive . ...and if I carry on like a bheegi billi phir toh plan hogaya successful " she teased herself
