Roshni beloved Sid. Earlier in that Yash sequence. Sid promised Roshni that he will save both DD and Roshni. At the last moment when DD was saved, Sid came to her house to even save her. But OVERSMART ROSHNI went out herself to save mom. If SHE BELIVED SID then everything would br alright. In short Roshni herself killed her mom.
