I realise I love the concept of season 2 and how they've revamped it.
We're finally getting to see their love story and not family drama. (I think someone else mentioned this as well. Pal?)

Even with the Anya, Neil and their family involved its still a love story. More over its a mature love story. What we saw with Sid and Roshni in season 1 is in complete contrast to what we're getting to watch now. That was young love. There was naivety in it. It was both a first for them. They had no idea of the hardships that could come with being in love How it would effect their families and the whole shindig.

Now they've both matured. They're both damaged, particularly Roshni I would say because she's the one character who has changed the most. She's no longer the little girl who in naivety sold her 25 lakh car in 7 lakhs to save her NGO. She's no longer the young woman who was ready to defy everything and anything to be with one person including her family. She understand the importance of them now.

No she's grown up, turned into a strong women who at least professionally is a force to be reckoned with. She won't give in to be with Sid so easily this time. She's going to fight with herself, with everything around her before she does. She will no longer fall for the little things that use to charm her before. She's turned cynical. Internally she's still carrying the broken girl she became after her mothers death within her. She uses that hurt as motivation to stick to her decisions and move on.

Watching tonight's precap has showed me that Sid's matured too. He's finally understood that he can't force her to be with him. He can't keep running after her if she doesn't want to be with him. Letting go of your love is the hardest thing a person can ever do and he's doing that for her. That shows how unconditional and pure his love is if anything. He will carry forward the broken man Roshni left behind. A man who understands every face of love. Who has loved, been loved and lived with the pain of losing his love in every way possible. I'm going to enjoy seeing how he carries that with his current personality. I like that he won't be running after her this time and instead let things flow and see where life takes them. He might show her how she's wrong or make her acknowledge her love but it will be a subtle game this time around.

As for Neil and Anya's character. I don't think they will turn into complete antangonists. I think the Cvs realise they've already overused that concept. They might show shades of grey here and there but they are showing a mature love story. Being the mature man he is, I don't think he'll stand in Roshni's way if she ever wants to return to Sid. He may stand in the way until he's sure Sid really loves her because he doesn't like him and he doesn't know him. As he said in the earlier episodes he's protective about the people he loves. However I don't think it will go beyond that. As for Anya, she's shown to be immature but her character isn't negative. She might fall for Sid, (Who wouldn't), she might even try to stay with him (Maybe come under someone's influence or be manipulated by someone. [ Maybe like how DD manipulated and encouraged Yash, Simiran might do the same or maybe someone else ] However, with Neil there I don't think she'll go all pyscho.) The point is to prove their love isn't the problem. If they introduce psycho's and show people Sid- Roshni getting hurt or going crazy isn't exactly going to convince Roshni to change her mind.

All in all to simplify it, these characters now have depth and various layers. It's always fun to watch complicated characters and see how the writers bring them together.
I think we have an very interesting couple of months ahead of us. I'm looking forward to seeing how not only the CVs carry this new concept forward but how the actors work through it because their roles have changed significantly. As I said their characters have layers now.

Cheers to a new week and to a the hopeful souls out there.
