Priya beats co-star with chappals!

Recently, the sets of Jab Love Hua witnessed a real drama. Things got out of hand when Priya Badlani (who plays Aanya) took her scene a little too seriously. According to the script, Priya he was required to beat her co-star Jayshankar Tripathi with chappals.

Says a source from the set, "It was very funny. Priya had to beat Jayshankar with chappals and chase him. But the scene on the sets was quite different! Even after calling 'cut', Priya continued to beat Tripathi with her chappals. He was so irritated with her behaviour!"

Big picture

When contacted, Tripathi confirmed the incident, saying, "I was beaten up with chappals! But I don't want to stretch what happened too much. I think one has to come on the sets and see what's happening to get the real picture. I have been a stage actor for a long time and know how to deal with such situations."

Even though he refused to discuss the incident, he added, "It's not just me, there are others also who go through similar ordeals. At the end of the day one needs to look at the big picture and keep working."

It takes guts

When asked about what happened, Priya says, "Yes, I did beat him with chappals but that's because the writers asked me to. The poor guy had to get beaten up, pushed around and bear violent punches from everyone on the set. I have to admit that he was the real star on the set."

Praising him, she says, "It takes guts to be sporting and not let it affect you. I think he did fine and we didn't have any negative feelings for each other. I am not a sadist to get joy out of beating another person."

Recently, there was also buzz that she refused to shoot at night for the show. Speaking about it, Priya says, "I have no issues with doing night shifts. We all have ups and downs and it is a part of every television show. It's sad if anyone thinks I am not giving my best to the show. It has given me an amazing opportunity to perform. Recently, I Was asked to do 30 scenes in one day to make up for the absence of other actors I don't think it's humanely possible, but I am doing my best to deliver."

ya tht was a real funny scene 😆 😆 , priya enacted brilliantly in tht scene, there was also a scene in which priya beats the same actor with a broom , priya is sooooo funny (sometimes she reminds me of cute & mischevious preity zinta & shridevi of chaalbaaz ,sadma & mr.INDIA ) . MAN PRIYA IS A ROCKSTAR !!!!!!!! 😉 & I THINK priya is a brilliant actress she did what she was told by the directors to do .so what ????????? even in movies great actors like amitabh ,srk , abhishek , aamir khan etc get beaten up by the gundaas so badly , and while performing stunt scenes actors may hurt each other , i think it is not a big deal for the actors ,they have to perform honestly & everybody knows tht actors are just doing their job , nobody is taking out his or her internal grudge on each other . hats off !!!!!!!! to both priya & jay shankar tripathi (madan lal) 👏 and yes maya ! he played the role of madan lal. i think priya is just like aamir khan i.e a true perfectionist , like aamir she also gets into the skin of the character . priya you rock !!!!!!!!! . i also praise jayshankar tht he didn't made an issue out of tht otherwise he cud have also yelled at priya like sudeep sahir (remember sudip yelled at priya when her duppata hit his face ,i really hate sudeep for tht ). this shows tht jayshankar is a sensible actor not a hyper actor

flamin_hot kuri 😛 ----- you cud read the article in the articles section when sudip yelled at priya ,it was actually shooting for a song sequence , priya was wearing a heavy outfit by designer neeta lulla & she was feeling uncomfortable while dancing , it was during tht time tht her duppata by mistake hitted sudip's face several times 😕 , u cud read the article in detail in the articles sec. it cud probably on 4th or 5th page . i really hate sudip for tht indecency

😆 😆 priya really beat him up 😆 😆 but unlike other stars she agrees and she is very frank like jigglypuff said. i loved that scene. she was running with a stick and beat him, i didn't notice the chappals though. but still it was hilarious 😆
