Joining the list of television actors, who have collapsed while shooting is actor Priya Badlani, popularly recognised as Aanya Shroff in 'Jab Love Huva' (Zee). She was running a temperature of 104 degrees then.
Presently resting at home, Priya says, "The day before the incident we had shot a fire scene for nine long hours. I had inhaled a lot of smoke and my resistance had gone low. Consequently, I caught a viral infection from my co-actor Sudeep Sahir. That's perhaps why I fainted on the sets!"
She continues, "I was packed off home by my executive producer Prateik. The doctor said that I had developed bronchitis because of all the smoke in my lungs. I have been advised a few days rest."
Though Priya is keen to resume shooting, considering "a steady bank of episodes" has to be maintained, the high fever apparently suggests typhoid. Priya says, "I'm waiting for my blood-test reports."
So has this forced holiday come as a surprise? Priya who seems to be enjoying working in this Deeya and Tony Singh (of 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin' fame) soap says, "This is not my idea of a holiday. Though working for a daily does take a toll on your health, I love every bit of it. Working with Deeya and Tony is so wonderful that I don't miss not having a life of my own."
Badlani is also happy with the positive feedback she has received for her performance especially from childrenwho have begun recognising her as Aanya.
On a parting note she adds, "The idea of enacting something fictional which turns so real for me is exciting. I can be somebody I am not. I can do things that I may not otherwise get to do, including stunts!"
Incidentally, the show 'Jab Love Huva' traces the metamorphoses of a city girl who learns to live in a rural set-up only to discover love!
