"Good Morning!" Nachiket wished her. She was wearing a casual shirt and cotton pants. Ranbir and Suhani wished her too.
Ragini wished them back and came near the bed. "Aagham, Aarav, get up now! I'm bringing in the tea." Aarav nodded in sleep. Aagham managed, "Abhi to aap banane ja rahe ho.. 5 minute to lagenge banane mein.. Tab tak sone do.." Nachiket and Ragini laughed on hearing this.
Ragini brought in the tea after 10 minutes and Aarav nudged Aagham to get up if he didn't want to be on the receiving end of their mother's glare.
Everyone settled on the bed. Ragini had insisted on buying the king size bed for their room. When Nachiket had asked her why, she had told him that she would show him. It was on the next Saturday when she had brought the kids up for the tea that he understood why. With everyone in a hurry in the morning to go to work or college, they rarely get to spend the mornings together. But on the weekends, Ragini made sure everyone had their tea together.
"I thought you were up till late, you should have slept more." Ragini told Suhani, giving her the cup of tea. Everyone took their respective mugs.
"No mom, I was done by 1pm, then I thought I would revise, but fir pata hi nhi chala kab so gai.."
Aagham complained why Ragini never asked him to sleep more although he usually slept late too. Ranbir told him it was because the reason for his sleeping late was watching movies and not studying. Aagham kept on arguing. It was a typical Saturday morning at Khanna's.
"Dad, do you have a friend who is a neurosurgeon? I need some help with a case I was studying last night," Suhani asked.
Nachiket shook his head, and said he didn't know anyone good in Mumbai but he could talk to his colleagues in US.
"Arey Sameer uncle hain na. He is a neurosurgeon in Delhi. He practices in a very big hospital there. He used to come to our house too. Mom ke bahut achche cost bhi h..Mom unse baat Kara dengi.." Aarav said. Ragini's face was a mask.
"Mom, aap karoge unse baat?" Suhani asked expectantly.
"No. I can't," Ragini replied instantly. Everyone looked at her confused.
"I think he doesn't stay in India anymore. I don't have his phone number." She finished and her eyes met Nachiket's.
'You are lying, Ragini', his eyes said to her, 'And who is this Sameer?'
