Food was the last thing on Ragini's mind, but when she saw Nachiket starting on his, sadness engulfed her. What she was sad about, she couldn't figure out. Was it the woman? or her husband? or the situation?
She stood up from the couch to go. She hadn't touched her food. Nachiket muted the TV and with a firm voice, said, "Ragini, we have discussed this. Maine tumhe sab kuch bata dia tha. Aaj bhi maine tumhe sab sach bataya. We can not discuss the same thing again and again. We can not fight over the same issues again and again. What I did all those years ago was wrong. I regret it. But I'm here now and will always be here. And I don't want to waste.."
Ragini stopped him, and when she spoke, the anger in her voice was palpable. "Nachiket, agar tumhe yaad hai ki hum ye baat discuss kar chuke h to tumhe ye bhi yaad hoga that I've accepted the past. But please understand that I'm a human with real feelings. Allow me some time to process the fact that the woman I met today has been in your bed," she said and turned to leave.
"She didn't mean anything, Ragini" said Nachiket slowly.
"THAT DOESN"T MATTER!!" screamed Ragini, as a lone tear escaped her eye.
