Dedicated to all the hardcore iknmp fans..I hope all of you enjoy this story as much as I enjoyed thinking about it and writing it. It means the world to me to be able to communicate with you all about something I follow, but cannot discuss with anyone here around me. So here you go..
Part 6 (last part)
Everyone has gathered for breakfast, they are all having fun.. gossiping..joking around. Its a usual morning for everyone, except Ragini. Her eyes are looking for him. She is not sure how to face him or break the news, or what he will be thinking.. but she just cant stop her eyes from looking for him. She secretly tries to find him in the common areas of the house, but he is nowhere to be found. She then asks Suhani, who says she hasnt seen him either, he probably must be in his room.. still sleeping, "kuch kaam tha kya? Woh last night..".
R (sounding normal): "No.. just wondering.. Last night?"
Suhani: "No, after last night's conversation between you two in the hallway.. Dad was looking very tensed..and I have not seen him since then.."
R (after letting out a silent sigh): "Nahi woh kuch nahi tha, Nachiket ko kuch purane photographs chahiye the.. woh ja raha hai na"
Suhani: "oh ok.."
Ragini slowly walks back into the kitchen thinking, "why hasnt he come yet?.. what is he thinking?.. Does he think last night, what happened was wrong? He doesnt want to face me? Is he thinking that I am characterless, that inspite of being engaged, I agreed to..". She shakes those thoughtes and decides to get answers, whatever they may be. She prepares 2 cups of tea, puts them on a tray and walks straight towards his room, informing Sunny and others standing beside her that she is going to give tea to Nachiket.
Nachiket who was happy, proud and energized in the morning, is now in his room feeling guilty and has decided that he will not face Ragini. He is constantly cursing himself after he had those thoughts during his walk. "She must definitely be upset with me. I have utterly goofed the one last chance I had to undo the bitter memories (fights, arguments, differences) of the last few days. When he asked Ragini to meet him, what happened was definitely not what he had in mind, what happened was all instantenous.. but Ragini would never believe.. She would only think, that all of this was his plan to have her, to take his revenge on Dr Aman, to take out the frustration of the last few days. He thinks to himself "I dont have the patience or the energy to set it right this time... I will just go away.."
Ragini comes and stands at the door of his room. He is sitting in his chair right in front of the door with a newspaper in his hand. Ragini walks in without knocking.. as though she has the authority now.. Nachiket steals a glace noticing that she is here and puts his head back in the newspaper.
R (putting the tray down on the table in front of him): "Chai"
N (not looking up): "Haan Rakh do.."
Nachiket gets ready to take the blame for last night.. he is pretty sure she is going to start bashing him..
R: "Main yahan baith sakti hoon?"
N gesture yes..still burried in his newspaper, not wanting to meet her eyes.
Ragini occupies the chair in front of him and start drinking her tea.
R: "Chai peelo, thandi ho jayegi.."
N (not lifting his head, hastily) : "haan.. baadme."
There is an awkward silence between them.. Nachiket unable to figure out what Ragini is doing here having tea with him. thinking- "Why isnt she talking? Is she waiting for him?"
Ragini is unable to understand why Nachiket is avoiding her. She is unable to bear his avoiding. She sits there waiting for him to say something..
Finally, Ragini finishes her Tea, puts the cup down and gets up from her chair and starts walking towards the door, thinking this may not be the right time to talk and may be he needs more time. Also feeling a little awkward with his behavior, making her think that she might be forcing herself on him, when he doesnt need her.
When she is few steps away from the door...
Nachiket (finally deciding that he must atleast apologise to her and say sorry..with his head still in the newspaper): "Woh kal raatko jo hua..uskeliye.."
He is about to say "I am sorry.." when Ragini turns around and cuts him off
Ragini: "Hum dono zimmedar hai.. you dont have to blame yourself alone for that."
Nachiket is all surprised hearing her words.. the guilt in him completely vanishes..he now understood why she came here (to tell him to forget about it..), But he doesnt lift his head.
N (still his head in the newspaper): slowly nodds and says thanks (for not blaming him)
Ragini is about to turn around to leave, but stops..
Ragini: "Tum mujhe dekh kyon nahi kar rahe ho? Why are you avoiding me?"
Nachiket now understands her real purpose of coming here. This question gives him all the answers he was looking for.
He puts his newspaper away, lifts his head and stands up. He looks straight into her eyes..she could see the same dark eyes from last night, the same love, same passion..
Nachiket: (he starts walking towards her) "Kyonki, agar mai dekhoonga to paas aane ka man karega", (she walks backwards as he gets closer.. she hits the door and it closes behind her.. now her back resting against the closed door) "Paas aaoonga to choone ka maan karega.." .. he grabs her wrist and starts moving his hand up her arms... "Chu oonga to pyaar karne ka maan karega.." (he is holding her, his hands on her back and pulling her closer, whispering into her ear.. she feels his warm breathe on her ears and it gives her shivers..) "Pyaar karoonga to kiss karne ka maan karega.." Now cupping her face in his hands and moving his head from her ears to her mouth, brushing his lips against hers and moving back to her ear, he whispers.."By the way thank you for taking that ring off..". she with her eyes closed smiles and puts her hands around his waist.. and leans foward and parts her lips for him to be taken..He takes her mouth and they engage in a long passionate kiss. Both happily welcoming the other into their lives.. both surrendering to each other..
When they break their kiss, Nachiket starts nibbling on her neck, planting wet kisses on her neckline to her shoulder.. she lets out a moan.. throughly enjoying what he is doing to her. He moves his hands all over her waist and her back, as he continues kissing her on her neck.. They are completely lost into one another wanting more of each other.. After all, this day has come after 16 long painful years.. Nachiket wouldnt stop and she doesnt want him to stop taking her and making her his own.. When "Bang Bang!! someone knocks on the door.."
Ragini suddenly feels the warmth leaving her.. she opens her eyes.. Nachiket is not there anymore.. he is not to be seen, she takes a second to think if it was a dream or reality.. she hears the bang again.. composes herself.. sets her hair.. turns around and opens the door..
Its Agam and Suhani..
Suhani: "Mom aap papa ke kamke main and door closed??." Agam smiling..
R (sounding as normal as possible): "Woh mai.. tumhare papa ko chai dene aayithi.. I think the door closed by mistake.."
Suhani: "We tried opening but couldnt.. Anyway Dad kahan hai?"
Ragini (thinking he must have gone to the bathroom) : "Bathroom.."
Nachiket comes out of the bathroom just then..
Nachiket: "Good morning..", "Are Ragini Tum, yahan?"
Ragini (kind of shocked.. not sure why he was saying that.. but playing along..pointing at the table): "Haan mai chai dene ayithi"
Nachiket: "Chai? Chai toh main subah pee chuka hoon.." pointing at Ragini's empty cup on the table.
Ragini (frowning..): "Oh I didnt know.."
Agam: Mom, Dad.. Karan uncle has made plans to go out for lunch today.. we are all so excited.. and Mom, Dr Aman is looking for you..
Ragini (in a serious tone.): "toh lets go.."
Agam: Dad aap ready hoke aajayiye..
Ragini as she is leaving with Suhani and Agam.. turns around and looks at him.. He winks..and smiles..
She smiles back and leaves..
Here starts their chupa chupi pyar once again.. at lunch.. in the evening and days to follow.. They have some unfinished business to finish.. after all!!
