They have a gigantic cast for which they have to justify screen time, and need convoluted reasons for them to all be not only in the same country but in the same household.

So far they've used weddings, suicide attempts, divorce, domestic abuse charges, contract marriage, etc. etc. to try to come up with a good reason why the Khanna's would stay in India as long as they have. It will only get more convoluted as time goes on.

And I agree with you on every point - they have written themselves into a corner.

There is no strategic thinking of longer-term story lines.

Even for a soap opera, this is pretty bad!
