We always overlook N's faults because we know he loves R truly, and is also pretty vocal about it. He wears his heart on his sleeves and it makes him weaker. But that should not stop him from being brainwashed as usual, and he should try starting to respect R. Once he does that, everybody will start doing that.

His attitude is what leads others to treat R like trash.

I am sure if she gives him the slightest idea that she is still his then he will support her without any inhibitions right now she is making him feel like she hates him and is on a revenge mode where she is ready to even hurt his sister.
