I like your theory. Maybe..maybe not. Aman has no self respect at all. There is aline being a friend or the one that takes advantage as a friend. He is obsessed. He himself think that his obsession is love. He knows she will never love him. If he was her real friend , he would have stood by and be her support as a friend in this difficult phase of Ragini rather than proposing her to marry. This sly man is doing all what he does for her only because he thinks one day she will marry him for all those favors.

Rachna you have given so much time to Aman's character to analyze the depth of his character which would have been right given that NB was not in the team... With NB around no character even the main leads don't have depth how come a freeloader have... Here things happen overnight...one good act an Neil turn super dad and one scene needed to push Ragini the mother in trash ... Am sure the scene that the scene between Agham nThepla Ben was shot unplanned as response to negative feedback in PK's absense just to give audience the reason of whole Arav,Aman and engagement thing for which NB must be proud and hovering on twitter to receive praises which she actually did...people call this whole thing an interesting turn in story and we have to dear with it...

So in my view NB don't need any big planning to convert the characters nor she would have given Aman an ounce of thought , she just require a magic wand to turn characters...
