Kids with Nachiket - Agham, Suhani and even Ranbir never got the parental love from either Nachiket - who was always this distant father, who thought responsibility of children meant providing for their financial needs only. Nor from Ragini, they were separated from childhood (god alone knows who came up with this idea of separating children 🤢). Nor from Pam, she has brought them up yes but can never be the mother Ragini is.

So these kids today have everything - money, security, comforts of life but crave for Love. Ranbir failed as a child, his insensitivity towards Shilpa would have led him to suffer eventually. Agham and Suhani if they ever fail it will be simply because they never really got the guidance from a "parent" its more like they are brought by guardians. So ultimately all these three will only give up / fail in life for they have no proper guidance, someone to teach them real life and experience it. They are so guarded that harsh reality of life would fail them to hold fort against it.

Its the opposite with Nishi and Arav. They have immense love, support, care and guidance from mother which according to them is overbearing. They are instead craving for money, security, comforts of life which I feel Ragini has tried very well to give despite her troubles. She too guarded them from the world but also brought them up in a way that they understand the practicalities of life. The ups and downs, pros and cons and truth of life. She has told them how education is important or how being independent is important.

Had the other part of family not come to India, there wouldn't have been comparisons and am sure they would have accepted Ragini's commands and lived along and not failed. Had Nishi not got her support from Nachiket, she would have never married. Arav also would not have sensed insecurity of losing Shilpa, he would have continued to study to win her properly. They failed because they compared their lives with other siblings and felt deprived. That weak moment has led to the downfall.

We are yet to see the fate of Nachiket's children but if we they face trying situations am sure they will crumble and for reasons I discussed above.

But did you see, the ratio of love, Agham, Ranbir and Suhani have two parent figures and still crave for love while Arav and Nishi have the love of both father and mother in one and still don't care. Its true, you realise the value of things when you don't have it.

I hope they show Neil's kids having troubles too. The US family is coming out as a perfect happy family whereas Ragini's family has all the problems. You know I have not enjoyed any US scene post leap..instead they make me sad for some reason .

I wish the makers showed agham and suhani missing ragini. They spent so much time with her and consider her as their mom. But they haven't shown one such scene. Its as if they don't require her anymore since Neil is more involved and Pam has mellowed down.mother's love can't be replaced and forgotten this easily
On the other hand, aarav and nishi keep doing their papa jaap. All this is so one sided that it feels that all the faults in the world lies with ragini and staying away from her is the happiness mantra.

BT always shows their heroines as mahaan.even their mistakes are considered to be examples of goodness. And here our ragini doesn't even get some respect and gratitude after doing so much.
BTW...can somebody post this thread link to NB. I know it may serve no purpose, but I can't take her degrading of single, selfless mothers anymore.

I would have ideally liked to see both N and R trying but not being able to fulfil the complete roles of the other. And that though the kids udnerstand them, yet they do carve for the other parent.
Something like that.

Here they are doing the 'bechari bit' which is gross. I hate it when women are portrayed weak and shallow. Show her making mistakes fine but blaming her for everything that goes wrong is so not done.

The 'happy' family is to show that Neil is trying to be the father he never was. The kids are swinging from being kids to being mature, its like they have a memory lapse and everything just got wiped out.

Agree Sun. Vidya will you please do the courtesy of roughing up NB's nest on twitter please?
Yes Sun, I also find it strange that Aagham and Suhaani do not think a bit about their Mother. How could this be?
Same question - just because N is more involved?

Why is Ragini being run down to the ground?

The creative lady has failed big time!

Whatever she is showing us of a single parent and kids characterization is neither a message, encouragement, nor an example. It is just nothing in the name of entertainment. Often fiction is a reflection of non fiction but here it is nothing more than characters from an unknown world...

Decent,

Ragini had already bought that laptop as that would aid Aarav in his studies. She did tell him that he could get the bike later. Aarav did not need the bike out of necessity, he just needed to flaunt it to Shilpa.

R checked Nishi's phone because it went on ringing.

And even if she was being over bearing, the kids could always have a tete-a-tete with her. After all, R was strict no doubt, but not unreasonable.

I agree.

Bold: that is the point, did kids really think that they could talk to her. Nishi just recently blamed R for Aarav being in Jail, cause she felt he went to Dad for help as he felt he could not talk to her or come to her.

Sometimes it is very necessary to show that feeling of openness to your kids that they can come to you for anything.
