Okay, so I just saw it...
Its not like N comes alone or something; he comes for the wedding. I understand the doubt, but it shouldn't have played out like that. N was right; the chairperson should have came by himself and asked her instead of making a scene in front of the building/alley or whatever it is. I understand that there are rules when living in communities but there is a proper protocol to follow for everything and this was just wrong!

I'm glad N didn't answer with just yes or no; thus keeping his word to R and preventing something like this from happening again-- or so one can hope.

I just can't help but wonder what came over these people... Would you really believe she would need a man to "fulfill her hidden desires" after 15 YEARS of being alone... i mean FIFTEEN YEARS PEOPLE. If she didn't need one in these years, she will not need one in the midst of HER DAUGHTER'S wedding, especially a traditional one where she is kept busy arranging everything -- and yes I expect that society to know.

For starters I don;t think it was such a big issue for society people to really discuss. If so the president of the society should have taken the matter up in person and not insulted her in the open. Its just 2 people Aman and Neil they have seen coming so why take such judgement. Its not like she is running some kind of brothel something that there are tons of men coming. They know Aman so that leaves only Neil. For one person this was indeed overreacting.

Its a shaadi ka ghar for christsake so there will be lot of people coming in an out . How is that they don;t object to Karan. If they really wanted to ask they should have asked after the meeting when he dragged her so Neil could have explained himself. Instead they waited and decided to get more and more people to gang up on Ragini. That was so mean of them.

Exactly that is what I am also irritated with. In India we have this thing about "going" in groups and making noise. People do not stop to realize the consequences. Severe punishments should be meted out to people like this who go in "groups" and create a hungama and insult people based on hearsay. Then people would be careful to speak nonsense.

Rags herself fell in her trap . She should have told the society people that he was her kids father. That would have been the shut up call. Why this ex husband name she said when she herself dislikes it.

What is the difference? I mean between ex husband and kid's father? Ex husband is at least more respectable. At least he was a husband once. It does not matter. What trap is this?

Regarding Neil not stating the fact like he mentioned she did not want their relationship to be referred in that way. Hence he did accept that when he was asked . However he knew these people and their intentions. I really like how he put them in their place without disobeying Rags . The lecture was to show the society to not jump into their conclusions without getting their facts.

The said lecture was irritating. the way it was rendered. Ragini did not want their relationship mentioned that way. But she also requested him to come and tell them since she told them and they were not believing her. He knew these people and their intentions true. So why does he lecture when he could have given them the lecture a bit later after clarifying. Neil tries to act smart all the time. and then he takes law into his own hands. sometimes he beats up people sometimes he drags women by the hand. Sometimes he gets drunk he does everything and gets away with it. Ragini was his ex but that did not give him the right to drag her by the hand in the middle of a meeting.

When the thieves came it was sacarsm there because Rags was just being so dumb. What did she expect from the thieves. Both of them care about each other so although they both want to think that they are not affected by the others action they both are. Also situations today are similiar to when they were in love and that is playing a role in their present day judgement

Don';t understand . what is dumb about it? Actually Neil was the one who mentioned the exact amount of jewelry she had in her purse. Ragini was first so upset over the loss of the purse and then seeing the thieves. So what is so dumb about it? Neil acts smart eh . That is what is so irritating. It is so over much.

And last but not the least. Kitty. She started the doubt in the people's minds. and then when matters went out of hand she could not stop it herself. That shows the amount of nonsense created by some stupid mean person and how it affects people.

Whatever it is whether a woman needs a man to fulfill her needs desires etc after fifteen years or immediately so is beside the point.

Point is the society coming and bothering Ragini like that. There is a way to ask for explanation.

If Neil did not come at midnight but did he come at midnight? if he had come early morning then they can question. If he did come at midnight it is not just Ragini's concern it is everybody's concern in the building. Watchman should not let anyone inside at this hour.

The buildings I know of they lock the gates after eleven. Whoever comes and goes watchman brings them or calls up the house to ask who this person is. whether they can be brought in at that hour at all. Some buildings do not even let residents inside at that hour unless they know them well and have been told specifically that they would be coming late.

Late night visitors are a threat to security in any society.

. Regarding dirty deeds they can be done at daytime too.

A respectable house like Ragini's where elders reside how can they insult Ragini or give her ultimatum?

Whether there is a protocol or not is another matter. Coming this way and telling her to clear out or "rent it out" they need to be answered with a slap. Because they are talking nonsense.

lol, i was kidding about the last part... its not their concern but its how one thinks/reacts..

anyways i agree with you.. this should've been taken care by the chairperson alone instead of making a big scene. Before seeing the scene, I thought he came at midnight-ish but he hadn't. He came in the morning with everyone around NOT HIDING so .. also, if she is paying her dues and "owns" the place who are you to kick her out.. stupid people!

Lol I wouldn't call him a junglee but yes he does behave irrationally at times.. I agree that he should have told the society members that he was her ex but he wasn't obliged to..

Sukhs - It's not about any obligation on Nachiket's part. He has not been a part of Ragini's life for the past 15 years.
I don't know who is at fault for the separation, I am sure they were both were responsible. Only when the true past is revealed, then only we will be able to judge. If Pam recounts the past, it will go against Ragini for sure. If R or somebody from Ragini's side recounts the past, it would be biased against N. So I do not know whether we will ever get to see the past as it was, without any biases.

Now coming to the scene with the society people, yes N was patronizing, It's difficult to explain a single POV here, but when R's character was being compromised, I think the safest thing to do would be to acknowledge that he is the Father of the children.

The society people were dumb to the core. They could have asked R separately, if they had any doubts. And all this in middle of preparations for her daughter's marriage.

Yes he was being patronising and difficult in a way but it was like telling them that they had no right intruding her privacy and demanding answers..

Yes probably that is why he was giving one big lecture. But when they expected him to answer why did he not ? thus giving rise to speculation about who he is and stuff?

He was not "obliged" to ? Or Ragini did not want to be "referred" to that way like someone else said in the forum She requested him with folded hands to come forward and tell the truth of their relationship.

So cannot say he was not obliged to. He was obliged to. And then like it not Ragini had asked him just a few minutes before to say that he was her ex husband. Where is the question of Ragini "Not liking it" comes into?

If Neil wanted to tell the society people that they had no right to ask such a question he could have done it in another way. After clarifying.

He could have straight away told them they were wrong in insulting Ragini this way coming in a group and out in the open. That she could sue them Then they would have dispersed. But clear the suspense first. Why lecture at that time? Those people are stupid and were waiting for an answer.
