ok i don't know if i'm correct or not but i think the scene where the society people were questioning ragini and pointing fingers on her character is same as what nachiket faced 15 yrs ago if the assumption that he and rupali were together or ragini misunderstood them..
but the difference i guess is how the respected partner reacted...ragini mights have misunderstood him but nachiket here took ragini;s side and made sure nobody points any question towards her...

i really don't know if what i have written makes any sense...

Gr8 analysis yaar 👍🏼 this never crossed my mind but now that u have put it, it does look very symbolic, if we were to assume that ragini misunderstood and misjudged nachiket-roopali relation and pointed fingers at him then it would be the same as how the society members pointed fingers at ragini's character by simply judging the book by the cover despite having known her well enough for 15 years to nominate her for secretary position, Wow!!!

I think we can compare once we know what happened 15 years back.
Anyway, I found the scene disgusting. Mainly because the society people could have asked the questions to R at her own place and not made a tamasha in public. Secondly, she has been staying there for 15 years or so. If the society wanted to make her the Secretary, it means that they found her worthy of taking responsibilities. And here they were plain attributing her to being amoral. Simply because a guy had come visiting at odd hours a couple if times.
What N told them was true , but the society people was pretty irresponsible. They should have questioned when N had dragged R from the society meeting.
And one of them was stupid enough to mention that R it is like a lottery since N looked loaded. Ugh !

i just loved how nachiket shut their mouths up for good, his each and every word to them was bang on!! There is no point of giving an explanation to ppl with a fickle mindset, no explanation is going to be good enough for them cuz they are never going to change the way they think!

Frankly don't get me wrong but every time an ekta show has a scene like this I cringe
For so so many reasons

One it is just regressive BS - no one and their self respecting baap behaves like this even in middle class areas - I dk why they show rubbish like this
Two a scene like this usually means either the woman is raised to a pedestle or the man. Here in this scene it was the man and believe me you. There will be a scene 20 episodes later which will just bring this scene crashing down
The higher ekta cvs have raised a character the lower they bring him/her!
So there!
I said it. TM I have to tell your analysis is well written but believe me the symbolism is only in our heads these cvs don't think that long term

Do these type of questioning a woman all still exist I doubt. I have been living outside India for so long . These days where live in relations and similar other things are taken at ease do the society really bother for all these. Don't they have any other job. Why the shows even want to show these unrealistic things just for the heck of it.

It happens at some places for sure. Women are the easier targets, in general sense of term.
But again, it's not everywhere. It's like a canker beneath your skin, waiting to erupt.

I actually had lot of issues with that scene... They knew her for 15 years... and they did not know Neil at all... so how do they easily take his word? they initially said about the 'type' of people who come visiting at her place... Ragini actually comes across as a no nonsense ... maintaining her dignity kind of person in her interactions with everyone... so if they could not believe when she said the guy was her ex husband... the guy and her could be in cahoots and cookign up a story also!! anyway... no point in looking for logic... This along with the nani scene has made nachiket great for now... I just hope the dialogues about respect etc stays in future episodes also... from both their ends...
