After Agham leaves with Neil, Ragini shuts herself in her room and breaks down, she is not able to control her tears. She grabs the family photo from her closet and moves her finger on Nachiket's face. She couldn't believe this was the same Nachiket she fell in love with. He really has turned into Dr. Neil K, she thought. She missed him. She missed her Nachiket, who was never aggressive, he never man-handled her even during their worst fights. What happened to him? She wept as she remembered how they celebrated the twins' first birthday together. They were so happy and in love. Raginis falls asleep as she clings on to her family close to her heart, with her tears all dried up in the memories of her once happy family - her kids and the love of her life, Nachiket Khanna.

Neil came back home and went straight in to his room. Nivedita followed him without an invitation, as expected and made him a drink. Neil wanted some space. The Nachiket inside of him was making him guilty for behaving the way he did with Ragini. No matter how hard he tries to play it off, he was still the same old Nachiket who is madly in love with Ragini.
Nivedita tries to caress his arm as she offers him the drink "Kya hua Neil, tum itne upset kyun lag rahe ho". Neil was in no mood to answer her, "Nivedita, please leave me alone" He grabs the drink from her hand and places it on the night stand as he goes in to the bathroom and shuts the door behind him in anger.
Nivedita gives an evil smirk, "Tum jitna chahe mujhse door bhaagne ki koshish karo, lekin mein tumhe paa kar hi rahoongi". She leaves the room.
Inside the bathroom, Neil looks into the mirror and is disgusted with the man that he has become. Granted, she has moved on, but they are divorced. She has every right to move on, he thought. His eyes are red with anger at himself and tears for Ragini. He couldn't look at himself anymore and punches his fist into the mirror and breaks it. His hand bleeds, this was the same hand that caused Ragini the pain. It had to be punished. He felt a little better.
The noise of the glass breaking reached outside. Dimpy, Karan, Pam and Nivedita all rush into the room. Karan knocks on the bathroom door to see if Neil is okay. Neil just opens the door and walks out as if its nothing, whereas the rest of the gang is shocked and scared for him. Nivedita rushes to help him out but Neil stops her right there, "I got this". Nivedita is embarrassed. Pam is over acting as always and is screeching her lungs out. Dimpy, Neil's best friend grabs first aid box and rush to Neil and he without any hesitation allows her to help. Nivedita is shocked. Karan asks the vamps to leave, he knows what is going through his friend's heart and mind. He throws them out of the room in a polite manner. Neil chugs the glass of whiskey as Dimpy is working on his wound. He is missing his Ragini. Tears well up in his eyes. She said she would never change, never leave his side, then why did she?
Karan and Dimpy know exactly what's going on with their best friend. They choose to leave him alone. They make sure that he is okay and leave the room. Neil pulls out his wallet and takes his family photo out and looks at it, "I am sorry Ragini" are his last words before he falls into his drunken stupor.

At the hospital, Ragini and Devika are having a conversation, which mostly consisted of Devika admiring Neil and Ragini getting irritated and jealous. LOL.
Devika is confused as to what is Ragini's problem with Neil. She doesn't even know him yet she has such judgmental things to say about him, "Yaar woh kab aayega, aaj maine apne make up par kuch zyada hi time spend kiya, how do I look" Before Ragini, could answer her she sees Neil K walking into the lobby, looking handsome as ever, but he had a bandage around his right hand. Her first reaction was worry, but as Neil walked up to them, she tried to act as indifferent as possible. "OMG, Doctor, what happened to your hand?" questioned Devika...Neil looks at Ragini, and he notices that she is worried for him but is trying to hide it, "Oh nothing, Doctor Devika, just a little injury...umm if you don't mind Ms. Ragini...main aapse kuch baat karna chahta hoon. Can you please join me in my cabin? Thanks!" Neil smiles at Devika and goes to his cabin. "Kya yaar, mujhe bulana chahiye toh tujhe bula liya, you are not even interested in him" Devika is slightly upset and she goes about her business. Ragini's mind is still thinking about his wounded hand...what could have happened? Is he okay? Her love for Nachiket started to get the best of her. She went to his cabin.
He was standing looking out the window with his cup of black coffee in his hands.
"Aap ne mujhe bulaya Dr. Neil" she tried to keep her regular stern face around him.
He turned to look at her and walked towards her. Ragini could see that the bandage is now bleeding again, she knew it was not a small "injury" as he called it. She didn't wait for him to say anything she went to her cabin grabbed her bandage dressing kit and rushed backed to him. She made him sit down as if he was a little kid that needs to be disciplined, grabbed his hand and started working on it.
Neil was shocked, but Nachiket was feeling happy.
She knew whoever did the dressing had done a pathetic job.
"Kisne dressing ki thi?" Ragini asked Neil as he was staring at her with a confused look..."is she for real?"
Ragini was hoping that he wouldn't say it was Nivedita. "Dimpy" Neil uttered still confused...Ragini was relieved.
She opens the bandage to find a huge, deep cut in his hand. She tries to control her tears, she couldn't see him in pain..."yeh kaise hua, tum jante ho na that you need stitches"
Neil notices her sudden change of pronoun from aap to tum. Neil was aap, Nachiket was tum.
Ragini is in her own world, she forgot about all the bitterness for a moment, right now taking care of him was her only priority..."bolo yeh kaise hua?" Nachiket was loving every moment of it. Neil had taken a back seat. "iss haath ne tumhe kal hurt jo kiya tha, sazaa toh isse milni hi thi" Nachiket looked into Ragini's eyes. Nachiket had a smile on his face as his eyes are dilated with tears, Ragini's tears fall down her cheeks. "I am sorry Ragini, I shouldn't have behaved the way that I did, especially now, that you are someone else's wife. I am really sorry. Please forgive me."
Those words hurt her..."someone else's wife" Ragini couldn't really say anything...she got up and made him get up as well. She grabbed his other hand and asked him to come along with her to a ward, where she could give him stitches. She didn't want anyone else to take care of him. Neil is not sure whats going on with her, why is she acting like she still cares about him. He just goes with the flow, he is enjoying it.
Female voice singing "Tujhko Sambhaloon, yeh mera zimma, main hoon toh kya gham jaane tammana" from Itna karo na mujhe pyar is playing in the background.
Neil just sits on the hospital bed like an obedient student as she starts the procedure. "Tum toh admin head ho, yeh stitches bhi kar logi?" "Nachiket tum please chup chap baitho, mujhe disturb mat karo, tum jaante ho na mujhe yeh sab karna pasand nahin hai"
He is loving the attention, feels like the old days again...Nachiket knew that Ragini hated blood which is why she chose to go the admin way...she was a certified nurse but after she got married to Nachiket she happily quit the nursing profession. This was the first time she was putting the nurse hat on after almost 20 yrs just for him. Ragini is petrified, she wishes she won't cause him more pain than what he is already going through (physically) She is all lost into making him feel better.
Just then he sees Dr. Aman outside the ward with Dr. Devika, brings him back to reality, reality called Ragini Aman Malhotra. He quickly takes his hand out of hers as he is fuming with anger. Ragini is upset with his behavior and looks to the door, she understood what his problem was. He gets off the bed and walks out the door with his wound still open. He is crazy, I know.
Ragini feels guilty, she knows he hasn't moved on from her, she realizes that the pain of the wound is nothing compared to the pain she is causing him by her fake marriage. She asks Devika to take care of him, even though she hates another woman touch him, especially when she knows that the woman has the hots for him. Devika is harmless she thought, and she is her friend. Devika happily obliges.
Aman stands there with his same old clueless look as Ragini hides her tears and shuts herself in her office.
