Ok so quite a bumpy ride the debut episode was !

As usual we have the perfect sympathetic big hearted female lead but ... This time maiyya (kekta) plans to kill us by her pessimist thinking rather than lectures 🤣 so change is welcome !

Well ragini is bound to be bitter with whatever happened with her, but then for THIS long ? Isn't it too long since she should have moved on ? 😕
The reason here could be and will be that she still hasn't been able to sink in all these years that she failed in love and relationship ! But ...
The old flashback - has she made her promise to fulfill all needs of her kids by herself an Ego issue too ? That's what I felt with her putting all money towards only her students education and nothing else to secure her house or any other assets !

And how did she say so angrily that she will bring up her kids such that they won't need you when she wasn't even thinking about the other two kids ? 😲 are those two by any chance only Neil's kids (hopefully not) and she doesn't attach herself to them ?
I hope today or tomorrow they show her missing her other two kids !

Now now coming to my title :
Me is a Patel too and God my cringe when kekta still hasn't moved on from her Ketki Dave caricature till now 😡 yes we gujju peeps love to wear lavish sarees and Jewels- ONLY on occasions ! We don't parade in wedding clothes for everything like Jignesh's parents!

But main concern - what's with ragini calling such people who say 'S' instead of 'SH' as GAWAR 🥱

Gujju differs by regions and castes and some groups don't have the SH in their original - example me ! Yes I'm educated and while I don't go Nisi to Nishi but I do have my shares of it a lot ! 😆

IMO the drama in front of the family was little extra ! She should have kept calm and said those things than shout ! Also I don't even see the need of it in first place ! Could have straightly told a NO till studies get over than do this - BUT maiyya and subtlety hardly go together so I get it was to show ragini as angry old woman 😆

Looks like ronit Ka neil will be a FOIL to ragini who doesn't behave strictly with his kids so Nishi will warm up to him !
Waiting for Ronit and his side of story ! Pallavi is good but will have to step up to ronit which is going to be a challenge !

This maybe the first and last or second last post in this forum according to my record ! But some really good or bad Epis may pull me here if this show keeps me on it !

Dude, I want to know where they found the time to have FOUR kids in ONE year of marriage🤔

The timeline was spinning my head...she says she got married at 18, had her kids at 19...did she have quadruplets or what? :S...They all look different ages...and within one year he cheated on her also and sab khatam? Itni fast? :S

They could have reduced the number of kids to atleast make it a little feasible...

And LOL Ekta still isn't gutsy enough to show a 40 year old heroine...she has to be JUST shy of the mark...so in trying to make her 38, they've jumbled up the timelines of the marriage and the kids being born...

Anyways Pallavi did a good job...Ragini is a very embittered woman so a departure from the usual Ekta female leads, yes...I liked her irritation with people not pronouncing "sh" correctly...lol

I think since the synopsis says 15 year leap lets guess she had first baby at 19 and divorced by 23 to become 38 today ! She might have got two kids and two twins ! 😆 but I'm finding it funny how she wasn't even running behind the other two kids being taken away which any kekta lead or even a real mother would do than fight !

Ugh I was pricked by that OTT gujju overdressed woman and accent ! Swear to God today's gujju don't speak Hindi that bad atleast young lot unlike that Jignesh guy in precap :( and like I said gujju accents differ by communities and so making a S of SH doesn't mean someone is a GAWAR or ignorant ! :P

Oh Tu woh teen show dekh rahi hai ? I see them siggies floating a lot around IF - sign of hit couple ! But yeah it's BBC so I get it richa Yamini was the one who coceptualized MG for Gul maa no wonder this couple is a frenzy ! Toh hopefully I see u here sometimes ! Waiting for Ronit !

BTW the sunny bai ! That lady has done much bigger roles before wonder why she got ready to play a servant ? She looked like she is a full time maid but then can ragini afford that ? Anyways she was fun and might be a comic role like Guru ! PPS: Ashwini plays sister to Ronit 🤣 Mhari ragini *cries a mainavati river *

LOL *hugs back* Khush Maate😛...I do actually know a LOT of Gujjus in real life so yeah I know the accent is exaggerated but then it's not like every Punjabi is a back-slapping loud "aaho ji" character either...but that is the world Ekta likes to project😛

The boss I haven't watched his old show but no surprises if kekta gave the same stuff to him !

Hi.. I posted the same in another thread.. The Gujarati accent is so annoying.. Not all Gujaratis talk in that Kathiyawadi dialect.. And I agree, in many castes Sh doesnt exist but S.. Some castes though use Sh instead of S and vice versa 😆 The highly educated ppl too cannot let go of certain pronunciations in their mother tongue.. and that certainly doesnt make them 'gawar'

Yup, u r right. Kalyani Thakar became household name with her portrayal of Supriya in So Dada Sasu Na, a Gujarati dailysoap aired on Etv Gujarati. The show was superhit and Kalyani had played the antagonist. She was the eldest DIL. 😳 My grandMa used to follow that show religiously 😆

BTW, in today's epi. Jignesh's mom's dialogues were real cute & the Kathiyawadi accent made them sound more funny 😆 "Jigness.. Ab tere paas do hi raste hai.. Ya toh tu nisi se bhaag ke sadi (Shaadi) kar le ya fir nisi ko apni sadi mein bula le.." 🤣
