I'm finally here with the results for

We had two themes - Diwali and Halloween

And 7 writers submitted wonderful entries

Spook factor has emerged a clear favorite...

So let me start with the one that made most of the readers ask for a third vote

Although this one did not win any prizes but it won the reader's heart and that surely amounts for something!

Loved the spooky element. I find sleep paralysis in itself pretty horrifying (and happen to know someone who suffers from it), so this one had my interest even before the ghost element was introduced. Also, it is beautifully written. It creates a very haunting atmosphere that sets just the right mood for what is to follow. Special mention to the line- "The memory crashes down like a flimsy deck of cards, waiting to be revealed." - saucechips

Always have read love stories between Arnav and Khushi, never imagined Khushi as a ghost which might haunt Arnav. It did remind me of the movie "Stree", maybe Khushi wanted pure love and respect and her ghost was looking for it. - canapoem

I have to mention "Latency of the Night" which was really well conceptualised and written. Especially when the author had Arnav see a Cardinal land at the end. - Arshi67

Let me say, it was a very tough fight and this one lost out by just 2 votes! Even though it may not have come up as the winner, it was loved equally, and we are all waiting to read more such shots from the writer. 😳

Thank You to Savera84 for being my sounding board from the time I conceptualized this idea. From the themes to voting system, I've discussed plenty of things with her. Thank you for guiding me wrt Rules and for your immense support in general.

Next, I would like to thank ShiriFictionPen for volunteering to make the Winning Siggies. She deserves a huge applause for making these beautiful Siggies in such a short time. I calculated the results on 21st morning and she managed to make these within the 2 days time frame that we had. All this with a 15 hour power cut in her city! Thank you for putting up with my silly demands (like making the font more opaque 😆) and still managing to meet the deadline. ⭐️

With great pleasure, we culminate yet another event in IPKKND forum.

Thank you to everyone who participated and voted. I think the close margin between Winner and Runner up is a clear indication of how much each vote matters.

Many had commented, saying this was fun and we should have more events in the forum.

Well, we have been having at least one ongoing event every month since the last 3 months. And there are full plans to continue with that (Yes, next one coming up in December ).

To have this continued participation, I thought of setting up a more well connected network.

Rockstar: Stayed silent for almost 8 years and once became active - with a praise worthy cause of saving IPK forum from closing - created numerous threads with wonderful, useful and humor filled topics and posted about 750 comments in roughly about 4 months.

Sherlock: Just like the famous detective, your search and research skills along with getting to the bottom of the issues is commendable.

SuperGlue: Currently you are the super glue who is holding this together.

Best Friend: You keep an eye on people, give suitable advice and make people feel better.

Best Critic: You do not keep yourself back in expressing your opinions good or bad with proper explanation.

The only thing which is missing from your cap is writing stories.

I know you are busy with multiple jobs, studies and various posts on IPK forum. When you get some time, please do venture in to writing full pledges stories.

The way you have with words, we need to read something from you first 😉.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm already lagging behind in updates for my co-written story and our episode analysis . I've a bit of free time for the rest of November so I'll concentrate on those first before I think of taking up anything else. 😊

And I do have a short story half written, but it's not Arshi. Actually there are no names referenced in the tale 😆. So I could post an Arshi version of that when I complete it. 😳

P.S. You deserve all the credit girl! You were there on the forum all this time and kept it going for years. You have always been supportive and never judged me, even when I was a silent member.

And I very well know that half of the people are here because of you. I certainly don't know so many people around the forum, so it has to be your contacts and networking skills 😆.
