OS Contest *WINNERS* - Page 5

A hearty congratulations to all the winners and a huge round of applause to all the participants. I thoroughly enjoyed reading all the stories!! 👏

I should have posted this when this topic was first created. Well, better late than never.

I want to share an incident with you, which almost spooked me out.

This happened when I was about 16 years old. Some time after I went sleep, a weird noise woke me up. It sounded more like Ssssssss and it was coming from somewhere near by (as if the source was in the room). Like any normal person I froze for few seconds. In that state, I heard the same noise again couple more times.

Then, I scolded myself, slowly removed the bedsheet from my face, looked around, made sure that everything is fine in the room, changed my posture and tried to go back to sleep. After a while the noise came back and this time it came from a distance. Then I realised.......

I don't know how many people are going to read this post, but, I have a question for you. What could be the noise and why did it sound distant at one point and nearby at another point?

I'm good Raji, although my teeth are still celebrating Halloween it seems. If I had participated in this contest, my entry would have revolved around the tooth fairy in actuality being a demonic witch :)

Oh my!

Had I known this incident earlier, I would have insisted that you write an OS based on this for the contest.

Well, contest or not, I still insist you should make it an OS or something. I for one would like to know what you can add to this... especially after that "I realized" 😆. This reminds me of the Spin-a-tale thread... you have given a prompt and left it to us for continuing this 😆.

My theories:

1. The very obvious.. you were dreaming the whole time.

It's very common to dream of waking up and going through activities or experiencing something while we are actually still sleeping and dreaming.

2. Could be a real snake or something else in the vicinity.

Depends on where you sleep and the neighborhood around your home. But you said that you checked the room so this could be unlikely.

3. Someone was pranking you.

I'm known for doing such stuff... so yeah, there might be others like me too 🤣. (I don't prank people when they're asleep though)

4. Well.. something otherworldly...?!

5. This never occured. Someone is inserting false memories in your mind 😲. Messing with your mind in the literal sense 😲.

Okay kidding 🤣.

Yeah... that's all from my side. Waiting to see what others come up with.

Wow! I'm in for reading this tale. We don't need a contest for you to write an OS 😉.

Yay! Something that we have in common Raji! 😆

I too have some kind of a connection with snakes.

But then, our family surname, symbol, etc, everything is related to snakes (more specifically the Naag / Cobra)... so who knows...
