A small update will be back with part B at the earliest possible.
Chapter 35A
Waiting for her to wake up would surely be a waste of time as they are on medication, so he made his mind to finally let La in the loop, isn't she already into the mess, the man she is going to wed, Rohan, he is related to the mess even if it meant for the very little piece. Contemplating on where to start he took a long breath before narrating it from the time he met Khushi for the first time to his recent visit to Lucknow to find some details about his maternal family.
It took Lavanya a good whole ten minutes to comprehend Arnav's monologue. After that, there was no stopping to the questionnaire
"You mean to say that the little boy over there was taken away by SHAKSHY not for funding his education but for some other motive?"
"YES, looks so with the condition these people are in right now and with all the confusion right now shadowing this particular group of institutions." he rubbed his temples, there is something which is clear in all this tangled mess which is clear but not for the naked eye. A crucial connection which he is missing, as much as he tried he was not able to pinpoint it.
"Payal was in love with your boss Shyam?"
"Yes"
"Her uncle used to work for you saying that he has no family while all the while he was in contact with them?"
"Yes"
"You have no idea why he did that?"
"NO"
"Payal was the girl you saw with NK in the photograph?"
"Yes"
"You think she is related to SHAKSHY?"
"YES"
"In all this, you are doubtful if your father is involved?"
"Don't you see it La? I agree the signature is not his but we can't rule out the possibilities, I don't know to what extent dad is involved in all this, hell, I don't even know if he is involved or not too but for the time being even he is under the radar" he spoke agitatedly. It's not easy to blame one's personality while your heart opposes that because the mentioned person is none other than his father.
"In all this where does Rohan fit?" until now even if everything seemed muddled she was able to take it but the dread that this answer may lead to many altering decisions in her life was suffocating her.
"Rohan is Gupta's son, the same Gupta's who run the orphanage Khushi stays in where it was mentioned to her that they have no child of own."
"WHAT?!"
"I'm not sure if Rohan is involved in all this or he is innocent as he makes himself to be but sorry to say this the Gupta's are involved and Rohan works under Aman who is Payal's cousin." his voice trembled as he sat looking at his friend who gave no response to his words.
"I don't think I can't take this anymore, whatever it is between you and Khushi or whoever is the involved deal it by yourself, I don't understand the head or tail of the whole of it, Khushi called me yesterday night from the shop, I wasn't able to take the call and later received a call from unknown number, it was her. She wanted my help so I had to rush taking my bike to the mentioned place, there I found these three, I had to take the responsibility of bringing them back safe here as you entrusted me with Khushi's safety." with that she was gone before he can say anything further.
Arnav understood that it would take some time for La to grasp the conditions around her so let her rest and moved towards the room the above mentioned three were taking rest, the feeling of fear and outrage both ran parallel in his mind when he realized Khushi's risky adventure, What was she thinking while running off to the unknown place with no support, while they are doubting the authenticity of Shakshy's intentions, understood that the boy is most important to her but by doing things like this they would rather invite further unknown trouble, even before an incident like this happened, he requested her to wait for him but she paid no heed, even now she couldn't wait until he was back.
...
Khushi was the first one to wake from the rest, as she tried to recollect her surroundings, all the memories rushed back to her, finally, NK was beside her, but what's next? Should she go back to HOME as nothing has happened? They would have known her absence from the previous night by now, what explanation would stop them from suspecting further? As it is they are involved with Shakshy and even NK is missing too, it wouldn't take more than few seconds for anyone to connect the dots, even if she is able to convince them about her innocence, what about her friend? Arnav is the only option right now for her, but he isn't back yet and wasn't she doubting Akash's character before all this happened? how safe it is for NK to go there? Looks like until Arnav is by her side the dilemma wouldn't leave her. At the same moment as if he heard her the man in question walked through the door in all his glory.
"How are you feeling now?" his question was directed to her but not his stare, he was looking at everything but her.
"Fine" she croaked, the emotions blocked her vocal cords, the separation since a week from him and the last night's adventure finally took a toll on her as she rushed into his arms, wanting to be close to the only person who can bring her out of the mess she is in by her innocence and ignorance.
"Take this" as much as he wanted to hug her back assure that everything would be fine, he knew it is pure waste, they have gone deeper than they thought into this and there is no escape without facing it completely, he wanted to solve it by standing on the borders but she took a plunge into it, along with her went everyone down who is involved in this, either directly or indirectly.
"Mobile?" she pulled back when he didn't hug back but rather pushed a box into her hands.
"Next time, when you feel like doing adventure inform me so that I would know where to search for you" with that he slightly pushed her back before leaving the room with no more words exchanged.
