How beautifully you have put this down. If you dont mind, may I just add -
@bold - Barun as an actor has immense respect towards his craft and also the viewers. But he had the integrity and decency to not insult the viewers by pushing garbage down their throat, when it would have been so easy for him to cash in on the opportunity at his peak of success.
@blue - This was after serving a notice period of close to 8-9 months(he put down his papers in feb 2012), when as per standard market practice notice period ranges anywhere between one week to three month. This was more than enough headsup for the channel & ph to decide on their next course of action. So the 200 people who lost their jobs and some who left crying, that was because of the channel's unpreparedness and unwillingness to deal with the situation.
@red - This blame was also out of the frustration that their daily dose of drooling over slip-catch-eyelock would come to an end (none bothered about the deteriorating content and quality of the show).
@pink - Leaving Gul aside, we are all aware of the clout that Star network has in the entertainment and broadcasting space. They wouldn't give two hoots about working with someone who has been unprofessional in the past, regardless of their popularity. But in contrast, the Star network has not only given him a platform to comeback, but they have also been promoting him like no other actor has ever been in the history of Indian Television.
