When her amma was in an afternoon nap, she started her wandering through the woods .She could see the local people sitting in front of the long verandhas of their houses and chatting.She walked further and stood near a small stream .She could see the old mansion just opposite of where she stood.The baba in the mansion loved her as his grand daughter.He died in the last month and his children were going to sell it. she entered the court yard of the mansion and walked through it enjoying the chirping of birds from the banyan trees .The place was very familiar to her since childhood.Her amma always warned her not to wander here and there alone.

She entered the large hall which was beautiful with elaborate wooden columns and carved screens.Suddenly she heard a car stopping near the entrance.She felt afraid and hid behind the huge door and watched.She tried to scream but sound died in her throat when she saw the person coming through the front door.Her hands moved towards her lips.The memory flashed through her mind.He was coming near by. She closed her eyes and prayed.He entered the room where she was hiding.He walked past her and began to climb the stairs.That was the opportunity for her.She fled with all her strength.He suddenly turned as he heard the sound of Payal and saw her running holding her skirt.He was quicker.He caught hold of her before she could escape through the front door.She screamed and struggled to get free but he picked her up in his arms and took her to a room nearby.He laid her on a couch there and looked deep into her eyes and asked:You know why I bought this mansion?
