Both of them looked deep into each other's eyes. They gazed at each other for what seemed like months, years, and centuries. After what seemed like ages, Khushi broke the eye contact first. She slowly moved forward with a smile on her face; walked past him.

Arnav felt like his world came to the end seeing her just walked by like she never saw him. He knew he need to stop her, he can't again lose her this time. He did the first thing that came to his mind and grabbed hold of her wrist to stop her.

Arnav " Khushi, we need to talk "

Khushi slowly turned around; calmly freed her wrist from his grasp " What talk, Mr. Raizada ? " keeping her eyes on his face

Arnav flinched hearing her addressing him ' Mr. Raizada ' not ' Arnavji ' as she used to do in past " I am sorry " in a broken voice

***************** Silence *****************

Khushi fumed hearing his apologize after all these years but did not show it " Why do The Great Arnav Singh Raizada want to apologize to a mere girl like me ? " turn to leave

Arnav again grabbed her hand " Don't leave me please Khushi " his eyes showing helplessness " I am sorry for what I did to you in past " his eyes begging for forgiveness filled with genuine regret

Khushi freed her hand " Mr. Raizada, you may be forgotten you have married to a home wrecker like me only for f**king six months to save your precious Di married life and that have been over a long time ago. Now back off and move on like me " coldly ignoring his pleas

Arnav numbed hearing Khushi's cold response as his Khushi not cold like this. For the first time he noticed the absence of the sparkle in her eyes; her eyes that once spoke thousands of tales, were now blank and guarded.

Using his dazed state Khushi left from there. She reached her home closed the door and hit the ground; tears finally made their way through beautiful doe like eyes. She cried her heart out, because she could not take it anymore. Seeing him after so long, she forgot her surroundings; and drowned in to the bitter sweet memories of her past. It took her lot self-control not to run into his arms and never let go. She was breaking inside while giving him cold response.

Now she was not that18 years old dumb, stupid and purely nave Khushi who just realized she had fallen in love, with Arnav, her Laad Governor and the very next moment her happily live ever after dream with him brutally crushed under their six months contract marriage. But she was mature now and she knew it was better to keep distance from him than to let him hurt her again.

She got up from the ground and went to refrigerator; opened it and pulled out a whiskey bottle. She smiled bitterly thinking few years back she wouldn't even have thought about consuming alcohol but now she consumed it to free from the unwanted memories of her past which she buried deep inside of her heart.

PRECAP : NEW BOSS

The morning sun caressed Khushi's face; she slowly opened her eyes and stopped her alarm for the fifth and the last time. She clutched her head as it was terribly aching due to the last night hangover. Recalling the last night incident, she remembered her meeting with Arnav. Her mind flashed of old times, happy, sad and funny moments; everything was coming back. She scolded herself for thinking about Arnav Singh Raizada. She reminded herself she became Khushi Dasgupta after the contract. Now she fearlessly conquered every battle life put in front of her as there was nothing that couldn't break her when she was already broken and shattered; nothing left worse from here on. She reminded herself she loved Arnav Singh Raizada but he was never been fair to her; she was always a gold digger in his eyes; and now she is over him. Lair ! You're not over him ... Arnav is still your Prince Charming rang a voice in her head

Ignoring the voice she got up from the bed and tip-toed to the cupboard; took her clothes and went to bathroom to get ready for office. After coming Mumbai she did job as a cook in a hotel and beside she did two years diploma course in Fashion Designing. Now she worked as a designer in one of the top Fashion House in India, Sharma Fashion House, since one and half years. She got ready wearing the black formal trouser teaming it with a blue striped shirt and black blazer; wore a pair of black pencil heel strap sandals to complete the look. She combed her hair and tied it lightly with pins to keep them half open. She applied mascara on her eyes and with a dab of red lip gloss she was ready for the day. Grabbing her bag she just dashed out of her home.

Khushi reached to office near 8.45 am. She could see almost all the employees present there and hype spread among them. All the employees were making sure that they were looking presentable and professional in every term because they have heard about their NEW BOSS only believes in perfection. Her Ex-Boss Mr. Sharma was an elderly man nearing the retirement age sold his company to AK Enterprise due because this company was a bit suffering past four months due to his health issue. She rolled her eyes seeing all the girls were doing their best to impress the NEW BOSS. She heard AK Enterprise had started two years ago and had branches all over the world; a promising competitor for AR Group, beating AR in six months it became No.1 in ASIA; AK has taken over so many companies in these two years.

Brushing her thoughts she went to conference room to check the arrangements as she heard her NEW BOSS very strict on his work.

Exactly 9 am the main door flung opened; everyone stood up from their seat welcoming their NEW BOSS except Khushi who cross checking everything once again. A dashing man in plain blue shirt and charcoal grey three piece suit along with grey tie walked inside the building premises with few men following him. Many of the young Women could not help but to admire his handsome personality and Men were just stunned seeing the odor and aroma he carried around him.
