Hello everyone.😳 Hope you're all doing well. Been so long since I penned down my imaginations on Arshi 😳 Plus this one friend of mine bugged me to no ends to write something on Arshi. So thought of coming up with a "two shots". Dedicating this TS to Rafaheli, who is best known for her flawless PS skills 🤗The subject of the following content is itself very special to both of us😉 Hope you all like it...

It has been 6 days since Arnav left for London. And according to him, it will be 8 more days before he gets back to India. The farewell had been one of the most painful ones, being this their first time staying away from each other. Had it not been for Khushi's threats, he would have never left her all to his family, knowing her capability of melting everyone with her sugarcoated words and enter the kitchen. He has strictly instructed everyone to not to let her cook anything or better, enter the kitchen, until he gets back, much to khushi's annoyance.
"But Arnavji..."
"I said NO, Khushi!"
"But who will cook food for the family?"
"Oh if you didn't notice yet, khushi, we have hired HP for all the cooking. And if he's not enough, according to you, then we have jai Prakash as well. He'll be a good helping hand, hmm?"
"But naniji is used to having food that I cook. What about her?"
"I'm sure Nani can manage to have HP's cooking for a few days."
"But..."
"Okay then! I'm not going to London. Suits me"
"Arnavjiii!"
Arnav sighed and walked to her snaking his right arm around her waist , pulling her to him.
"Sweetheart, the last thing I would want is something bad happening to you like last time, while I'm abroad"
Khushi putting her arms around his waist snuggling in his warmth, "Arnavji, only a small amount of hot oil spilled on my wrist that day! That's all! And you're making it sound like I burned myself down"
Pulling back, glaring at her, he took her wrists swiftly but gently, "THIS is what you call a small amount of hot oil?! Look what you have done to yourself!"
Her wrist had blue and purple patches with some Burnol- cream on top of it which Arnav had applied few hours back.
"Khushi, you're not stepping into the kitchen, at least until my return. Whatever you want to eat or need, just call HP or someone else in the family to make it for you. Please love, for my sanity?"
His voice held so much love, concern and tenderness that all khushi could do was nod, not trusting her voice lest she breaks down. Resting her head on his chest while her little hands still around his waist, khushi chuckled softly, "You treat me like a baby"
Smiling, caging her in his arms, he kissed her forehead, "I'll miss you"
Sniffing as the upcoming separation flashed in her head, khushi whispered, "Me too. Come back soon Arnavji!"

Khushi coughed and turned to the other side of the bed. She had been feeling sick since the day before yesterday. Nani and Anjali had gone to see one of their sick relatives, while Payal had to go to Lakhnaw with Buaji, only khushi and Manorama was at home. Manorama being Manorama was too busy in her own world with her make-up, nail paints, new music and serials to check on khushi, or rather, she totally forgot khushi even existed.
Not being able to sleep with her head feeling heavy and ees burning, poor khushi could only toss and turn on the bed snuggling to Arnav's pillow which according to her smelt of him. Suddenly, her phone vibrated on the side table. Knowing who it would be, khushi sat on the bed with a jerk but not before yelping in pain due to the throbbing headache.
Trying her best to not to sound sick, khushi picked up the call, "Arnavjiii!"
Arnav chuckled at the excitement his wife would pick up the call with every single time he had called in these past 6 days.
"Hey sweetheart! How're you?"
"Great. How're you doing? Did you eat anything? You're taking your medicines on time right?"
Frowning at the change in her voice, Arnav asked in concern, "Khushi? what happened? you sound different! Are you alright?"
Sighing at his husband's ability to understand her condition even when he's miles away from her, she replied, "of course I am. Just a bit slee...*cough* py... and *cough* I was just trying *cough*..
"Oh you're definitely not alright. Are you telling me what happened or you want me to ask di and others"
Cursing in her head for coughing at the wrong time, khushi widened her eyes at his question. If he gets to know that no one is at home except Manorama, that too, when he already got the whiff that something's wrong with her, he would probably turn the house upside down, or worse, won't be able to concentrate on his work and meetings, losing the contracts which was the main reason he's all across the country.
"No Arnavji wait! Nothing is wrong. And don't call them. they're sleeping. It's 10:00 pm here! Don't wake them up."
"Since when have my family members started going to bed at 10:00, khushi?"
Closing her eyes, biting her tongue knowing very well she's been caught, khushi spoke in her defense, "Arnavji, I promise it's nothing. Just a mild headache. That's all. Let's not waste our time on this. I know you have a meeting in an hour."
"Inquiring about your health is never a waste of time. Stop talking nonsense. Did you take meds? Do you want me to take an appointment with the doctor? Why don't you go to the doctors with di? That will..."
"Arnavji!!! I said I have a mild headache." khushi chuckled.
Sighing Arnav leaned back still frowning at how weak and fragile she sounded.
"You sound horrible, love! Are you sure it's just a headache? You're not hiding anything from me?"
Lying at on the bed, taking his pillow over her chest, smelling and snuggling into it, khushi wiped her tears at how thoroughly her hubby could read her, just by hearing her voice. Oh arnavji...
" I'm not. Now, get ready for the meeting. And don't forget to have your breakfast and medicines please."
"Hate to be away from you sweetheart. Please take care of yourself. Ask payal to sleep in our room today, in case you need anything."
" you know I'm not comfortable sleeping with anyone else except you!"
He has always known that khushi only sleeps peacefully when he takes her in his arms. But never did she said that out loud. Smiling at the adorable confession his wife just made, Arnav spoke with utter tenderness, "I know love, but just for today. You don't sound well."
Not wanting to reveal the truth about everyone's whereabouts to him, khushi sighed.
"Ji Arnavji I will. Now go"
"Good night, love"
Hanging up the phone, her head still feeling heavy, khushi tried sleeping, unaware of the fact that her entire body was burning up with fever.
