the director openly shows his lau for snakewa... and much drama is indulged in for the great reveal. would have been intersting if not from the acting point of view but from story pov had their been a sense to this track as it is called. or shall we pretend it was all very hitchcock... te kidnap is but red herring, the real story is the meeting the separation brings, a meeting at many levels. ha ha maybe i should build a case for this. nothing like being pseudo when a thing is just plain silly and ugh.
have to say though the unnecessary excessive violence got to me, couldn't help noticing how terribly graceful barun sobti looks even in that state and how lithe and agile his body is. and he looked like the man in command even when they got him down... takes five to six men every time to get this lean man under control. though, well, it's nigh impossible to control him.
so shyam the sleek smart terrible "boss" casually looks at wills of saaley saab out on the street, yelling and crass not caring who hears or sees... who does that. how about sitting in the office and plotting the demise if your saaley.
a rather strange yet soothing sequence with three women in brown suit.
and something poignant, returning to ipk in khushi's patch up with devi maiyya. i did feel they could have stayed with that a little longer. pivotal relationship this one. of a young girl and her goddess, mother, friend, mainstay, imaginary friend, everything... the very hindu thing of owning your god i always enjoyed.
will be back tomorrow with short take.
