this thread went so fast! i went through about 60 pages here last night till 5 am and had a blast reading all the new info about the movie, it's name, the ja iv's, the blog, the director, the music director and the general happiness and speculation and fainting! thank u to everyone here for all for the up to date info 🤗 i didn't think we'd get anything else so quickly, it's kind of leading me to hope that the event barun was supposed to be seen in may have something to do with this too, and it may be 'soon'!

i am so so excited for him, he has always believed in letting his talent speak for him and whatever people have said and do say about him they cant take away the fact that he is a superb actor! and he keeps getting better and better with every role. i've been beaming like a lunatic for the last 3 days and am grinning at random strangers in the street who probably think i'm nuts 😆 i cant help it, i feel like a member of my own family has finally achieved that first crucial step in the path to their future happiness and success 😳

am happy that it's a lead role, but any good role in a movie by an established ph would still have been fantastic. and i'm even more happy about the way ja described the movie and how excited he was with the script. they r definitely a hatke ph who have seen that there's a gap in the market for thoughtful, interesting cinema and a genuine demand for it too. and their production values and marketing is fab. and they seriously promote good talent when and where they find it, ab aur kya chahiye barun ke liye? 😃

BOI: What's next?

RL: One is Imtiaz Ali's youngest brother Sajid Ali and it's tentatively titled Banana. It is almost ready. Then there's a film with a writer called Arshad Sayed, who is making his debut as a director. It's called Double Agent J-39, an action comedy. We are making it with JA Entertainment.

BOI: Can you share your future projects with us?

JA: We are backing Sajid Ali's film Banana and we are also producing a film for Arshad Sayyal. Arshad has written Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, Gutkha and Shaadi Ke Side Effects. He is a brilliant writer. He came here to narrate a subject to us and we will be producing the film. It's called Double Agent J-39, an action comedy.

We also asked him to bring in another element and he came up with a beautiful idea of a wedding. So we asked him to direct the film and he agreed. So we are backing new directors and new faces.
