Also, when we combine topics it should be considered that some threads have a different demographic such as more adults than some with teenagers. Those discussions will not have everyone's POV in them. Shouldn't different genre's have the chance to have their own discussions?

I dnt seem to argue wid DT ...Bt as a reader POV.. We dmt agree to .. Wid thread closing cncpt if some reader post cngrts or update soon ..Bcz dats nt cnsider spamming in reader terms

With all these spamming rules, how come Member Birthday threads are allowed? They don't have any relevance to the show?

I too will agree with your words here..!
I do not understand that how congratulating a writer for new threads, asking them to update soon or responding to notes can be considered spamming??
As all these things are technically related to the story, aren't they??

I don't think it's a nice idea! Birthday threads aren't related to the show but they are related to the forum! A member who's active in the forum.. her/his friends make a birthday thread to thank her/him someway for her/his contribution to the forum. *I think*.

@Kiran: check the page before. I replied about Spamming! :P

Agree, I had questioned this considerably recently, about why indexes of favorite stories are getting closed. I got rid of the MOD name to not create controversy. But she finally opened up the Index by making the TM change it to favorites list.

As such, if someone created a favorites list. You should have left it alone for the sake of "to each his own." Instead, you imposed your own list which is nearly impossible to filter as it is right now.

We don't like the rating system because we have previously had that and members were discouraged and believe me when I say that fights like literal arguments and fights broke out. That's what we don't want now so we're going to have to not include that.

Which is why I don't understand your view of redundancy. It was presented in a different light and with the caveat that it was current popular and favorites. These were selected with an obvious attempt to differentiate with all of the rest. There was a lot of thought and effort put into it beyond just listing.

Also, to be clear, this was not my listing, but one that I had appreciated.

Either that, or the forum needs to compile a list with favorable ratings system.

The index that I had given you the link to is supposed to be the only index in the forum which the new members refer to. It has the stories instead of writers usernames like you had done.

Hi - I saw that you closed a Topic because you felt the content redundant. However, I think that list was not all encompassing but rather a favorites list of writers at this time. I have gone through your index as well. It was not nearly as organized and nor did it contain top performers. I would revisit your decision to close the topic.

Please rethink the decision and allow the game threads. Not interested in an official GOTW. A poll should be conducted to see what the majority of the forum members want.

Sorry to say but the forum feels more like a jail nowadays with members' activities being restricted to such an extent. The rules were there before too but why become so strict all of a sudden? Shouldn't the rules be a little bit flexible? Its afterall a discussion forum

I agree with every point of yours. Please reconsider the GOTW and Twitter stickied topic DT! It makes no sense, really. For someone like me, who hardly visits stickied topics because it's time & energy consuming to find what I want to know, it becomes difficult to understand what's happening. And upto now, I've lost out on alot of info..
