Hi.

I think I've said it before, and I'll say it again,... this was VERY WELL ORGANIZED! In fact, it was one of the most well organized contests I'd come across on this forum. You did take a lot of pain and efforts and it showed.

I was busy with shit and couldn't put my two thoughts on what was going on this thread. Now I don't know if I should... but really, I just wanted to tell you that I appreciate the efforts you took. But not everyone can be happy with the results, I guess. Everyone can't be pleased. And that's that.

Everyone have dere point atleast u should undrstnd it i knw u r feeling bad instead of showing ur view frm a angry side show it in a polite way nd make d thng clear

I tried. I tried explaining earlier also. Everyone PMed me I replied to each and every PM. Trust me when I say this, I don't get angry so easily but there is a limit!

I can quote and show you all those people who have a problem with the way I have handled this contest. I read OS #20 too. It touched my heart too but the decision was made by the judges and I respected that.

You cannot always win. These people are literally telling the winners that someone deserved it more than them! That's not fair.

If I have said anything wrong in my above comment then please tell me!

You did it well enough Manji. The organisation and management of the entire thing was done effectively. It's just that people have different views about different matters. It was already stated that reader's vote will be bonus points and really have got no issues with it. I am just sad about the entry 20 because it was worthy enough and didn't got a mention anywhere in the results. But you are never to be blamed here. I certainly don't think that's your mistake. You did your part well. 👏

It is very irritating that people do not appreciate the effort I have put into this!

I do. I said this before and I am saying it again. This contest was a very good opportunity for the writers and it has been a lovely experience to me. And I am thankful to you for that.

Also the Judges remark for my OS, helped me improve. 😳

So now, I am not even going to bother making any more efforts. Who cares! 😡

Do not get disheartened with things. Such matters keep coming along and you can't take them at heart. Using your words here, move on, there will be better things to do and see. Stay cheerful.

Okay, neither have I read ALL the 26 One Shots over here nor have I voted on this contest.

Well, when one can raise questions over the marks allotted by each of the judges and compare them vertically, can one not question the Readers' votes too? That, why did one particular reader like 3 Stories in that combination only?

For example, if a reader liked Entry No's. 1, 2 and 3; another reader would have liked Entry No's. 1, 2 and 4. How fair is it to question these 2 readers' choices just because they happened to like one different story while the other 2 remained constant?

And I do remember reading the rules of the Contest which said readers' votes are added bonus or something like that...

I am certainly DONE explaining myself. Entry #20 did not win. NOT MY FAULT. I know that. I am NOT going to give any other explanations. If people believe they could have done it better than me then great! organize the next one yourself!

Readers votes have many issues too. Agreed. Everything has pros and cons.

In my perspective, it was a fair competition.

It was your hardwork from the start, and I dont think anyone has the right to bash you for something you are not responsible at all. When you have clearly mentioned every rules in the first page.

There were some flaws like, adding the banner 'where the writer's name was clearly visible'
I know it happens, you managed this contest single-handedly so I can very well understand.

I'm not stating that you were wrong, take the above comment as an encouragement and dont be sorry.
