This love story has been about the male protagonist from Day 1 and always meandered the way the he wanted, whether his struggle, denial, guilt, acknowledgement!

As said in Geeta, "Swadharme nidhanam shreyah, paradharmo bhayavahah" (Better is one's own duty though devoid of merit than that of another well discharged). Isn't that what exactly seem to be the difference between ASR's and Khushi's actions, swadharma of the former and Paradharma of the latter??

This wouldn't necessarily make ASR right, the way he executed it. Even if he were to ask and believe Khushi, having truly seen Shyam's madness for Khushi (pagalpan, junoon as Shyam said) in order to bear with him for the next 6 months, marrying Khushi would have been the only option, perhaps at her consent but not necessarily family's. But for him, the pain of the knowledge that her mother like sister's trust and marriage was in shambles would still remain!

Durga, Shashi was one admirable father! If he were to be normal, Khushi would have certainly shared with him about her marriage at some point that would have given a new dimension to the story. I always wanted to see some thing on the lines of, where in Khushi would leave RM and start working at GH, ASR would move to that neighborhood to woo her.. not exactly but some thing like the movie "Anand" if you know what I am talking.

Buaji and Garima were beyond redemption. They were the ones to corce her into engagement, not much guilty for this girl at how Shyam turned out to be, and then they have the gall to slap her when she gets married at her own will ...to the most eligible bachelor in the town...:). jokes apart... there was NO consceince on their part at all.. either to own or diswon this girl at their will!!

Khushi was indeed lucky to have found true love and some one whose way of punishment was to bring her even closer!!

Good for you AD. Will try to take a look if possible. You know, unlike many here, I have been a regular serial watcher. Most serials start off really well, only to sink into a mess in due course. I would watch the show till it started deteriorating and then would quit. Very few shows I stuck to till the end. But after IPK, I couldn't make myself watch another show even in its initial stages. After sometime I felt, would I ever watch a serial again? Though I never liked any of those on-going ones, I was missing the suspense, the excitement of what would happen next. So, I decided to change gear. When I was in Mumbai, I used to follow Marathi and Hindi shows equally. So, started watching Marathi shows. It was a different language, different culture, shows made for an audience with a different taste. It worked. I am following a couple of them now. And none of them make me feel that they are trying to copy IPK. They aren't and they are not even close to it. It is totally a different world altogether. And the best part is, my knowledge of Marathi with which I had lost touch is now back on track. 😃

Would like to share a funny incident. When I started watching one of the Marathi show, my daughter went and complained to my mother about it (of course in good humour). My mother wasn't surprised for she knew I used to watch earlier. Anyway, now my daughter has learnt the title song of one of the shows and keeps humming it when the show starts, although she doesn't know its meaning. 😆

When Arnav was feeding Khushi kheer, how he acted it seemed like he was genuinely being romantic with her. I was swooning when he said,

"tumhari hath mein bina shakkar ki kheer bhi meetha lagte hai."

Barun was too yummilicious in the scene. faiqa i stole your word, I couldn't find any appropriate word for him. Though the bd was irritating, specially i felt disgusted when he touched Khushi's lips.
