Hey
Arshics

This is a summary of your post.

'Beneath his harsh exterior and under all that disrespect
He was a man who had a lot of respect for women in general '

I will come back as doing it from my work.

beautiful post šŸ˜› just saw that episode today and yet again got those goosebumps. i loved that scene, and i loved that fight, because even as she said the character dheela words she didn't really believe them. i think she just expected better from him because she actually does know his character by then. and he reacted like that because SHE said it.

arnav is a very honourable man and respects every single woman in his life bar none, even khushi - he tries to mask it but deep down she knows he has boundaries he wont cross and she trusts him implicitly. one of the things i truly loved about the character was his decency, his moral code and his lack of chauvinism.

and i loved all the dupatta scenes, they revealed a lot. it doesn't matter to him but he understands her discomfort when she doesn't have her dupatta and always knows to look away while handing it back to her. his aggressive pursuit of her during the last days of their contract marriage was his way of trying to force her to admit that she loved him and wanted to be with him.

but as soon as she gave in and came back, he handled her delicately with kid gloves. i always expected to see the sweet, loving, gentle side of him when trying to get intimate with khushi because that's who he is deep down. it matters to him that she gives her consent, his love dictates his behaviour not the other way around. and i especially loved that 'ab theek hai' scene, the way he tries to make her feel comfortable was just beautifully done 😳

Character dheela --- She did not mean it that way, that's why she readily corrected him when he locked her in his arms and inquired about the same...
When he broke her Dori in their first meeting, that trust was gone... but I guess it returned after several more encounters.

Nariyal Sing Raizada... šŸ˜† Loved that name!

Lovely post as always
Write more! 😊

Yes, he was a softie with his Khushi, and very respectful for her comfort during intimacy.

No, character dheela was just her trying to open his eyes to what would happen if he didnt marry La.

At the time she said that to him, she didnt know him well, she was just trying to shake him.

Stg1, it's always a delight to read your posts. There is a smoothness and flow in your writing that is beautiful.

Hmm chauvinism - so true, this man was a liberated man, and appreciative of his wife's intelligence and entrepreneurial spirit. He valued her independence and didn't want her to be shackled in any way.

Nor did he ever tried to change her, her chamkili dress style or her lack of sophistication.

Compare that to the seemingly gentle and kind Akash - turned out to be the conventional husband and a snob.

He indsulted Payal far more by his insensitive behavior, though he proclaimed all that love and kasams and rasams.

True, he cornered her and she was just fighting back. She did not really mean it
