Yesterday, when the petitions had started, I was remembering the Nov '12 fiasco and the major role you played in directing the minds of crazed fans in the right direction by your posts.
I was waiting for you to come back here and encourage the fandom once again, and here you are. Thank you.
All the points you mentioned, why IPK is special to us - made me emotional. Yes, IPK was not just a show for us.
They were so many people who were emotionally invested in this show, still are.
It is sacred, and naming any Tom, Dick and Harry show as IPK would not be acceptable.
We only have memories of our show, and this season 2 as it is so ridiculously called, is ruining them.
I understand StarPlus is doing this for business, they are cashing in on IPK's popularity.
What they are dumb enough to ignore is that IPK was not a success because of its name. It was the story, Arnav and Khushi, the supporting cast, Barun and Sanaya's chemistry, the music - and much, much more. These were the reasons why IPK became a phenomenon.
Also, they seem to have forgotten the reason the show shut down back in November. Fans weren't ready to see one replacement (Arnav) and they expect us to accept a new show with the whole cast replaced?
They've used the same logo and I'm scared that they might use Rabba Ve too. That would break my heart, really.
I have nothing against the show, in fact I might have also watched it had it been promoted as a fresh new concept and love story. But, this...this is sacrilege. Plagiarism in its worst form. Why use the name of IPK when the story is nowhere close to the original?
Fans are trying their best to get the name changed and I hope we succeed this time too.
