Here Without You.
It's almost a year now. A year since she had left him, left him to burn in the hell of his own making.
A year since he has seen her. Seen her eyes light up with mischief, or glow with love. A year since he saw her smile, which always made his heart ache. A year since she held him in her arms, and he felt like he had come home.
But still, still she was present everywhere. Her absence was a constant presence with in him.
She was present in the emptiness that she had left behind. She was present in the chimes of the bells that he heard sometimes, when he went to drop his Di at the temple. She was present in the absence of laughter that had once graced his home.
She was present in the tears that flowed from his eyes every night. In the darkness that engulfed him every night. In the silent accusation in the eyes of her sister. There was no respite.
She was everywhere.
It was agony.
Yet, yet he welcomed it. Because if this was all he could have of her, of her memories, of her love, before he had went ahead and destroyed it with his own hands, then he would gladly take it.
Her presence clung to him like death, who had come to take its final prisoner.
