Five Days. No Calls. No Texts.
Khushi Gupta dejectedly checked Her phone once again and could feel the prick in the corner of Her eyes.
He never came... Absolute Five Days.
On cue, Her phone rang the tune associated with His number.
Arnav Singh Raizada calling...
Khushi did not let the phone ring and picked it up on the first ring.
"Arnie!"
"Hey... Khushi." Arnav's whisper could be barely heard.
"How are You? I was missing You so much." Khushi said biting her lip to stop the flow of Her tears.
There was a moment of silence before Arnav 's whisper could be heard again, "Khushi, Dont take this in the wrong way but err... I want to break up."
Khushi looked at the phone in disbelief making sure it was Arnav's number.
"What??" Khushi said finding Her voice finally.
"This relationship is over. We are through!" Arnav's voice was cold and emotionless.
"Arnie... Is something wrong?? Is something troubling You??" Khushi questioned trying to think straight even though emotions were creating havoc on Her senses.
"I need to focus on my career. And I hope that is one good heck of an explanation. Good Bye." Arnav's voice was replaced by a beeping tone which indicated that the call was over and the relationship as well.
The only thing She could whisper looking at the phone screen was "I Love You, Arnav. Good Bye."

"Dad... Khushi was never a roadblock in My studies and She will not be a roadblock in My career... I am damn sure." Arnav tried to reason.
"Not a word in the Girls defense.We are the Raizada's and We don't play on emotions. We play on Power and Money." Arnav's Dad growled and walked out of the room.
A lone tear slid down the corner of Arnav's eye and He could barely say, "I Love You, Khushi. Good Bye."

Gupta House 2012"Wooohooo... Summer Vacations officially start tomorrow... Life cant get better than this!" Lavanya squealed tossing a cushion up in the air and not catching it again.
"Lavanya! Can You please keep Your excitement down??" Khushi screamed from the couch where she was drinking her foam espresso coffee and the falling cushion hit her on the head.
"Oops! I am Sorry." Lavanya apologised while Khushi wiped the foam off her dress."Where is Payal?? Dont tell Me, She is still glued to her phone??"
"I am Here." Payal announced while entering the room. "I was on the phone with Aakash. He said all of Us will hang out at the beach today. He is bringing His friends."
"Yippee... Really??" Lavanya squealed throwing the cushion again but catching it properly this time.
"I am not coming..." Khushi declared concentrating on her coffee.
"Oh, Come on... Don't be a spoilsport. Its summer time.. You need to get out of the houseand Did You not hear Payal say that Aakash's friends are coming too!" Lavanya sighed.
"Come on... Khushi. Lavanya is right. We need to get You out of the house." Payal said in a calm voice.
"OK. Fine. I am coming." Khushi said in defeat.
"Yayyy... That's like a Good Girl." Lavanya squealed again."Okay, I will get some snack packing done... We will leave in an hour."
After Lavanya walked out of the room, Payal questioned, "Khushi, Do You still miss him??"
Khushi felt sadness engulf Her as She was reminded of Him, "Yes. I do. I miss Arnav."

Raizada House 2012"NO! I am not going." Arnav huffed. "I dont feel like going."
"Dude, You have to come. Payal is getting her friends too." Aakash said pulling the head phones out of his ears again.
"So!?? Why should I be excited?!" Arnav questioned in an annoyed tone.
"You might find 'the one'." Aakash winked and walked away.
"I don't want 'the one'. I want my Happiness back.!" Arnav whispered.

At The Beach
"OK. Now that We are here. I would appreciate, if You Guys would just leave Me alone and enjoy yourselves. I am going for a walk along the shoreline." Khushi said while wearing Her sunglasses and walking away.
"Don't go too far." Payal instructed while Khushi showed Her thumb up to indicate that She was listening.
The sun was setting on the horizon bathing the sea in warm sunlight.
Khushi was mesmerized by the sight and decided to capture it on Her camera.
She was about to click the setting sun on the phone camera when a volley ball hit her leg.
"Oh... I am so Sorry. I should have seen that You were standing here." A familiar voice made Khushi turn around.
"Arnav?"
"Khushi???" Arnav's voice was more like an apologetic whisper.
"You are here??" Khushi said in a very low voice trying to get over the shock of meeting Arnav again.
"Umm.. Yeah. I had come to the beach with My friends." Arnav said pointing at the group of Guys waiting for the volleyball along with a group of girls.
Khushi's eyes widened when She saw that Payal and Lavanya were playing with the group of Guys. "Oh.. You have come here with Aakash??"
"Yup." Arnav said and threw the ball back to the group.
"Oh... Seems like You are in the middle of the game. You should go back. It was nice meeting You... Again." Khushi said trying to walk away from Arnav.
"NO... Khushi. Wait. Spend some time with Me... For old times sake??" Arnav sat down on the sand and patted the space beside Him.
Khushi could not decide whether to sit or just walk away. In the end, She just sat down next to Him in silence, watching the rippling waves.
"So any new relationship??" Khushi questioned trying to put up a brave front.
"Well... ummm... I have a kind of a problem. I like this girl. She is on my mind 24x7." Arnav explained not looking at Khushi's face.
"Okay. So what is the problem?!" Khushi questioned inspite of the pain in Her heart.
"The problem is that I dont know what to do..." Arnav shrugged His shoulder.
"Okay. Well...I am not really sure what You should do but Well... What is She like??" Khushi questioned curiously trying to get information about the mystery girl.
"Well... She is really awesome and fun-loving. She has a great personality and I love having Her around Me." Arnav explained dreamily."And also, I once broke Her heart."
"Oh... Youbroke Her heart as well." Khushi whispered.
"Sorry... Did not catch the last bit?" Arnav questioned in confusion.
"No... Nothing. Maybe You should take Her on a date..." Khushi said trying not to show Her disappointment.
"Oh... Actually, She is on the beach right now along with Her friends." Arnav said excitedly.
"So, You should go and spend some time with Her." Khushi said while getting up and dusting the sand off Her legs.
"Thanks a lot, Khushi. It was nice meeting You, again." Arnav smiled and walked away leaving behind a dejected and heart broken Khushi.
"Hey, Khushi...!!!" Lavanya squealed and jogged towards Khushi.
"Yeah. Tell Me." Khushi questioned while Her eyes were still watching Arnav walk away.
"I am too thirsty... I forgot to pack some cold drink... Can You get something for all of us, if You are still going for a walk ?!!" Lavanya requested.
"Yeah. Sure." Khushi said walking towards Cafe Fizz on the beach.
She came face to face with a grinning Arnav at the entrance of the Cafe.
"What are You doing here?! You were supposed to be spending some time with that girl." Khushi questioned looking around the beach.
"I am spending time with Her." Arnav said looking pointedly at Khushi.
"What do You me-...?" Khushi stopped realising the meaning of his statement.
Arnav stepped forward and intertwined their fingers in harmony.
"You are the Girl who is on my mind 24x7... The one, who is really awesome and fun-loving. The one, with the great personality... The one, whose presence I love having around Me. The one, whose heart I once broke..."
Khushi gasped and stepped back.
"Why did you break up with Me??" Khushi questioned in indignation.
"Khushi, Just because we broke up does not mean I stopped loving You.." Arnav said with a serious look on His face.
"My phone calls, texts and emails... All remain unanswered.. And You still claim to be in Love with Me.??" Khushi exclaimed.
"I was going through a bad phase in my life." Arnav confessed. "Don't You think I regret breaking things off? You are ignoring the fact that I have loved You every minute of these 2 years."
"Wh-aat??" Khushi questioned trying to control Her breath.
"Ever since our breakup, I have been planning to spend the rest of My life with You." Arnav confessed.
Arnav and Khushi stared at each other, "Oh... just hug Me already!"
Arnav pulled Khushi in a warm and bone crushing hug,"Please take Me back in Your Life, Khushi."
"As long as You take Me back." Khushi pouted. "I Love You, Arnav."
"I promise. I am not going to leave You ever again.I Love You too much to break Your heart." Arnav confessed pulling Khushi in to His arms again.
True Love stood the test of time and brought them together... Once Again! ❤️❤️
