Well in that case i would suggest they should be targeted by their names and not by the fandom they belong to .I am sure there are enough proofs of those abusive pms/psts etc and some have already been posted in screenshots so why not do the same for all who abuse people personally why defame a whole fandom which includes people like me who have nothign to do with it.

When celebs chose acting as a career, they knew what they were getting into and what they will have to contend with. That's why we don't see them retaliating to every abuse that's thrown their way. Why can't we all chill out the same way as well?

Every other public site does have an option of reporting abuse - be it any actor / or any public figure..You might find it funny but our legal laws doesnt allow personal abuse on social sites and sites are blocked or sent notice if they dont abide by it.. Yes the actor is unknown to me..but when you target his fanbase..I am targetted too..and thus thats derogatory behavior and insult to me...

Similarly when actor is called with cheap names- which as his fan I will find offensive- I do have a right to report that..as much as his hater has right to post it...

Reason everyone is so riled up now is because this is too much now and also it has exceeded one's patience level..

I've read both sides of the comments and I'm going to give my neutral judgement neither from the point of a fan of Sobti nor as his critic.

The whole entire problem has stemmed from only one group of people and that is EXTREMISTS.

Yup, these extremists, whether they are Sobti's fans or his critics are the sole reason for this entire mess created in the forum. And you know the funniest part about the entire thing is that the moderates on either sides like us are the ones left fighting with each other, while those extremists are sitting on their chairs and laughing at us fighting.

In happens in our society too. These extremists, who are so narrow minded that they cannot see anything above themselves, and I would rightfully call them as attention seekers are the root cause of all evil and wrongs in our society. And the same thing is happening here.

There are extreme fans and critics of Sobti who don't realise that there are real people behind these IDs and they are the people who indulge in all this name calling business and degrading human beings. They are the ones whose pea sized brains cannot see anything beyond their shitty thinking. They are irrational, non logical and just like the dog's tails, they can never be straightened.

And no, I won't apologise for my language, because hey! this is freedom of speech and I'm going to utitlise it.

Phew! I had to get this out.

People are wrong on both sides. But the fact is the ones who actually didn't do anything wrong are the ones who are defending themselves in this thread for the deeds of those extremists.

@bold Well, people here may not like me saying this but you are partly right here. There are people who cannot take an iota of criticism against sobti and pounce upon everyone who does not sing praises for sobti. He is a human being and has his share of flaws. I guess problem started there. I understand because i was also irritated by this behavior.
But don't you think you are stereotyping? Have you not crossed the lines with the 'wet dreams' and 'private parts' comments?

BTW thanks for replying in a polite way. I did not expect that after going through the screen shots posted in the previous pages. Am i stereotyping? May be😆 Sorry for that.

I'm saying .. do criticize and say whatever you want, but mocking/bashing is banned on IF and you can't do that until the ban is lifted!!

About lifting the ban, there's NO use of commenting here. Because it's something Vijay has to do.
We didn't put ban on bashing. And we can't lift either.

And if you feel that bashing is allowed everywhere else on internet, why not go and bash there?
IF is not that a special place that you have to stick here and fight for rights of bashing, leaving the big world around that's openly accepting your mocking.

Nothing wrong in being a fan. I have been a fan many a times in my life of a lot of actors but yeah, never to the extent for going overboard (again my personal prerogative, not to look down upon obsessive fans)

Its only when the extreme fans take it upon themselves to take personal exception to celeb mocking which becomes a breeding ground for member hatred. Its illogical to get personal with members for the sake of actors who care a damn.

And I am speaking for both sides here- fans and non-fans/criticizers.
