Hie Sweethearts, I had written this OS long back, there are more parts to it, I posted it earlier but didn't continue it owing to the lukewarm response I got, but now I've made up my mind, I'm gonna post it anyway 😆
Hope you guys like it 😊
THE FALLEN ANGEL
The skies looked dull and gloomy, packed clusters of dark clouds hovering above like the endless pits of darkness that surrounds you, strong howling winds raising the dust and determined to blow away each and every particle that stood in its way with its intensity. The distant rumble of thunder growing by the second till it became more distinct, breaking into an unsettling loud roar. Soon the skies burst open as a deafening rain crashed onto the ground, bent on drenching every being within its stinging raindrops.
As Khushi stood there beside her broken down car on the deserted road getting wet in the rain, checking her cell phone nth time for any signs of network, looking around for some help. She couldn't stay there any longer she was cold and scared as the flashes of lightning lit up the dark thick blanket of the sky followed by the loud frightening thunder sending shivers down her spine , though afraid she decided to walk down the road looking for some help.
She was walking down the empty cold road, suddenly she couldn't help but notice she was being followed by few dark figures, she tried to look back but the blinding blur of rain cut her vision short she tried to calm herself down, trying to control her fears and kept walking, she started taking hasty steps, but the intensity of the footsteps following her too increased, they were closing in on her and before she knew it, she was surrounded by those men.
Strong fear gripped her movements she stopped dead in her tracks looked straight into their eyes, their red eyes gleaming with malice, watching her menacingly. Her whole body soaked in the rain, shivering she clutched the sides of her dress that was clinging to her and her other hand went up to cover herself up from their lusty gazes. Plucking up some courage she pushed her way out of them and darted into the woods trying to hide. She tried to run faster and faster into woods, but to her horror she tripped and fell over. Her heart pounding furiously in her chest ready to burst out, as she tried to crawl her way out but as fate would have it, in the next second, they were on her grabbing and groping striking violence upon her soul, she started kicking, screaming frantically for help. The raging storm refused to die down, as she struggled to get him off her, his hideous face came closer to hers, instinctively she closed her eyes and let out a sharp shrill anguished cry which went piercing through the skies while her soul was being ravaged, waiting for the moment to come when she would go all numb, but it never came. The man lying on top of her was furiously pulled apart and hurled into the sky, by a dark silhouette, his faint falling cry could be heard followed by a dull thud.
Khushi opened her eyes and blinked, her breathe caught in her throat as she tried to get up supporting her limp form against a tree, helplessly looking around trying to figure out what was happening . The men stared ahead confused and frightened as the fear of unknown gripped them in its clutches, the heavy rain taking their fear a notch higher by making it more difficult to see. Suddenly, the proverbial tables were turned, the hunters had become the hunted. The mysterious thing striked again at the men, tossing one them into the sky, like a mere speck, only to crash back down the ground, his faint cry overpowered by the loud echoes of thunder which boomed across the sky. The 'thing' was moving too fast as if it was everywhere at once, too fast for even the eyes to catch. In a flash of lightening that lit the woods Khushi caught a choppy reflection of dark silhouette in puddle of water beneath, I-it had wings? Before she could register her thoughts, in a blink of an eye, it vanished in the ripples. Panic stricken, terrified and cowering, the last man tried to flee the scene but in vain, he found himself being dragged into the dark of the woods by the mysterious figure.
Khushi looked around, helplessly, but found no one around. She tried to move, take a step ahead but her limp body was far too weak to stand, she found herself falling to the ground before she could, she felt a swoosh of the wind and there he was holding her firmly in his arms. Instinctively her hands went up to his bare chest for support, she looked into his eyes, that stared right back into hers, she shuddered at the impact of it, his sparkling brown eyes possessed her, his piercing gaze staring right into her soul as though reading her mind, she could see far into his deep eyes which surrounded her with a sense of calm, as the raindrops hit her pale face, forcing her to blink, looking into his eyes she felt like he was all she ever wanted.
"W-who are you?" she managed to choke out.
Her aching body gave away, as she fell unconscious; her hands fell off his chest. He touched a hand to her cheek, caressing it softly, her form seeming so small and fragile. Moving the wet strands of hair sticking to her face, he picked her up cradling her in his arms as he flew up into the never ending, blackened sky.
Forty eight hours later, Khushi woke up in her room sweating profusely to a dream, her mind unable to register, uncertainty clouding her thoughts, was it a dream, an illusion or reality...?
Who was he? Or rather what was He...?!
