Dhak dhak dhak dhak
The sound of her rather beating too fast heart filled around her as she doubted that people around her could hear the beats of her her heart who beats at the same speed every time he was around her...ah...the one she loves...the one who means the world to her...it doesn't matter if he considered her nothing more than a friend and was happy with his every- now -and -then changing girlfriends...the thing that matters her is that he was with her...like a friend though but was with her...she could feel him...hear him and be around him...in the past six month that is after the day she realised her love for him she could never confess.

At first she was very happy...on cloud nine and decided to confess her feelings for him
She went on searching him in almost every possible corner of the college in which they had met for the first time and had became friends...and for her the place she had realised her love.
At last she found him in one corner of an empty classroom...only to be heart broken. He was sitting on one of the chair with lavanya on his lap. She kept on talking while his hands found their way to her waist holding her and smiling, I flirting with lavanya. She watched peeping her head while hiding herself behind the doors of the classroom as silent tears of Hurt made their was from her eyes down to her cheeks. It had not been even few hours that she realised her love for him and she was already shattered, heart broken.
At that moment she realised that she can never be more than a friend for Arnav. After all he was the dashing football and basketball champ was the college...dashing...handsome and sexy.
The guy for whom every girl in the college falls for...rich...good looking and fun loving...flirty in nature...every girls dream and now even her's.
There he was and here she was a middle class scholarship student who wore spectacles and knew only studying. She was not like the girl's he dating, not good looking obviously not with her glasses. She didn't wear small dresses or western wear instead preferred simple suits or long skit And top with a scarf around her neck. Yes this was Khushi Kumari Gupta the simple plain introvert she was only opened her heart to few and Arnav was one of those few people.
She never told about her feelings to Arnav as she knew Arnav doesn't love her and can never do and she didn't want to lose his friendship.
Days passed...months passed..but she never told about her feeling...lavanya and Arnav were quite serious about each other unlike his relationship with his previous girlfriends but suddenly just about a month back they broke up. Khushi tried to ask Arnav what happened and why did they broke up suddenly but she never got an answer.

Her trance was broken by arnav's husky voice as he came and stood before her.
"hi Khushi"
"Arnav"
"umm...Khushi meet me in 10 min at the classroom in the corner of the corridor on the first floor...umm..the empty one"
And before she could reply or ask anything he went away leaving her puzzled with lot of questions.
She sighted and moved towards the library to finish her work with librarian so that she can go an meet him. She was very curious to know the reason behind this sudden private meeting. His excited, happy yet little nervous adding to her curiosity.

After 10 minutes khushi was at first floor of the making her way towards the empty class rooms at the end of the corridor at the left of the building. When she reached the corridor she was confused about which room to enter as there were three empty rooms and he had not mentioned in which one to go. But then she felt her heart beat dhak…dhak…dhak as she stood in front of the second room and her heart told her that he was in this room but she was not sure.
She opened the door of that empty classroom and few steps forward she was now inside the room but not much inside she looked around but found no one.
Suddenly the door behind he closed with a bang and before she could register what was happening she was pinned to the nearest wall, things happened so suddenly that she could not understanding anything, her eyes were closed and her heard beat was fast. She felt someones hand around her wrists holding them on the sides of her head on the wall. She could recognise this touch even in her deepest slumber. It was him Arnav it has to be and as so a feeling of relieve spread over her and she felt protected. She slowly opened her eyes and looked at him. He left her writs an so her arms fell on her sides and he placed his both palms on the was trapping her.
"you scared me" she said " why have you called me here Arnav ?" she asked.
Her heart was still All Dhak Dhak Dhak due to their proximity and she for once wondered if he could hear her racing beats.
He leaned in more closed and then he kissed her forehead and whispered " I care for you and will always do" he the moved to her right cheek and softly kissed it , his breath washing over her face making her feel dizzy. " I will always protect you no matter what" he the. Moved a little back making some space between them and then kept his right palm on her left shoulder and then slowly moved it down touching her arm on the way he picked her left hand and lifted up to his face and kissed her knuckles and she felt shivers down her spine.
He then clasped his big palm with her tiny one and then again leaned closer and whispered in he right ear "I feel jealous when I see you with someone other than ME and will always do" and he kissed her other cheek making her face turn even more than ever before.
He moved his face And lightly pecked the tip of her small red nose and said " I can't imagine my life without you "
And finally he did a thing she never ever expected. He captured her lips in his for a soft kiss which slowly turned passionate and she also responded to the kiss completely lost, forgetting everything. Her confusion, his sudden change of behaviour and that she was kissing her best friend though she loved him but still...
When the broke the kiss Arnav rested his forehead on hers, their faces were inches apart.
He the said the three words eight letters which she had always waited to hear but had lost all hope long back. "I love you and will always do"
She could not control herself and hugged him tightly as silent tears of joy made their way down her cheeks.
"I love you, I always have and will always do"
Author's note - so i am posting this in middle of night i have written this in middle of night on my i-phone so there can be mistakes and maybe it is not so good i just wrote it so that i get some sleep. written i half sleepy state so mistakes are there to be. and i know it is a little short too.Also i have never written such kisses on lips and all this much of romance so sorry if it is not so good. 😊 - gunj
