Exactly! I completely agree and that would have added a great track to the show, and it would have been such a delight to see the cunning Shyam vs. the sharp ASR and throw their wits against each other. Instead of getting rid of him in such a pitiful way, they could have done an epic showdown between the two men where Shyam is still attempting to get Khushi and the Raizada wealth and do anything for that goal.

It would have been a much better track than the Sheetal and Mrs. India track. Sigh.

The CVs should have explored that possibility.
