It was 7pm and khushi still had a lot of pending work to complete in the office.
"I'll not reach home before 10pm.Arnav will definitely get angry",thought Khushi.
Khushi left the office at 9:30pm and drove by herself wondering what explanation will she give to Arnav about coming back home late.
She opened the door of Shantivan and found it all dark.She went to the kitchen with the hope that Arnav might be making her favorite sweet dish-jalebies. But alas Arnav couldn't been seen anywhere in the kitchen.
"Arnav must be in the room and definitely upset with me. Let me make black coffee for him",she said to herself.
She went upto the room and called out,"Arnav...Arnav...Look am really very sorry. I had an urgent file to complete.This won't be repeated"
Just then,her gaze fell on the photo hung on the wall and she broke down recollecting that fateful night.
Flashback
Arnav-khushi had gone out to have icecream. They were walking on the road and were holding each other hands and having icecream.
"Khushi,if something happens to me,will you marry someone else",asked Arnav.
Khushi left his hand and wacked his head and she squealed, "Don't you ever talk such crap again." She had tears in her eyes.Arnav realized his mistake.He cupped her face and apologized.
"I won't ever leave you alone Khushi",promised Arnav.
Just then, while crossing the road, a speeding car hit Arnav and he tossed in air like a football.He died on the spot.Khushi hugged Arnav and cried bitterly.
"Arnavvv...you can't break your promise...please get up...Arnav you can't betray me...Arnavvv..."she screamed badly.

It had become a daily routine -coming back home late,making coffee and breaking down.It had nearly been a year and Khushi had not been able to move on completely.
She opened his cupboard and wore his night suit.She laid on the bed,caressing his side of the bed and tears rolling down her eyes,she slept.
