Naach you're not going to get answers from them because they have nothing to say. Fans should've stopped when the actor himself said that all this isn't true, leaving the show is his personal choice.

Seriously if people think the show shut down just because of Barun and fangirls then they are heavily mistaken. It was shut down because the PH wanted to move away from the soap and wanted to concentrate on other shows it had. Otherwise there was no need for them to post that outburst letter on Forum32. And you seriously think the PH wanted the show to go on with/without Barun. If so they would have gotten a good story to exit the lead actor and not the stupid tracks they were showing from past 3 months and certainly not the accident scene.

Sushant left the highly successful show PR 1.5yrs ago - Did it shut down. Nope. The PH wanted the show to go on and the creatives got in storyline to facilitate the exit and the show is still going on strong. Do you seriously think the PH wanted the show to go on. If so they could have thought about their storyline once. They could have gone the leap way with Sanaya playing the daughter of Arnav-Khushi which would not have created this hullaboo. Why didn't they do it. Simple because they themselves didn't know how to move the story forward. Isn't what they claimed in the letter in forum32. And even after a month of the show closing where is any press conference from the PH clarifying the closing of the show. Seriously they are not even bothered to explain their stand.

And here people are viciously attacking Barun. I am not saying he is not at fault. Maybe he is also at fault but it is not his job to take the story forward. He is just an actor and his job was to act which he did do damn good. However this is the first time I am seeing a PH which actively participated in throwing their lead actor under the bus to save themselves. Who the hell releases the schedule of the lead actor and also the fact that he has put down the papers and asks him to negate it. And the leak about he putting the papers was not accidental, in fact it was done with permission from PH. So what should we make out from this - The PH is interested in saving the show. If so, they would understand what the fandom wanted and would have come out an give an statement. Sadly their next week never happened and still is not ever going to happen. Why are people not blaming the PH anymore when they successfully murdered the story. Why is Barun blamed just because he is shooting for a new movie from April. And Star Plus went ahead and changed Gopi vahu and why didn't they do it here. Why run an disclaimer and pull off the show. Because Star Plus knew that they would be in a bigger shithole had the story continued and hence they pulled out the show and saved their skins by blaming Barun.

I never called for show closure however I did want an happy ending for Arnav-Khushi as I was an ardent viewer for 1.5yrs. And anyway the show was going to be off in Feb. Given a chance the show continued and in the end they showed Khushi moving on with another person that would have been a disaster and I would have stopped seeing the show after Arnav's last episode. Majority of the people would have done that. That was the reason the channel pulled the plug off as anyway it would be a dead duck sitting on the fence.

The whole responsibility of taking the show forward lies with PH and the Channel and when they are not giving any clarifications, don't you think blaming Barun for everything is little unfair. When you are treating everyone fairly then I would appreciate you pointing blame to the creators too as they messed up this story too bad and also to channel as they couldn't handle the show and PH. Please be objective when you are blaming individuals as Barun never said/asked his fans to call for and have the show to be shut down. I know some actors in past who encouraged the fandom to keep on calling for their return and Barun didn't do anything like that. Infact he asked the audience to support the show as he expected good twists and turns even after he exited. Just have an objective opinion before you place the whole blame squarely on the shoulders of one individual.

Khushi loved Arnav even when he was a monster
Khushi could understand Arnav without him actually having to say the words
They had telepathy
Arnav had come to trust Khushi so much that he believed her about Shyam even without proof
They were made only for each other

This sort of love happens only once in a lifetime.

And there is nothing wrong to dream of such love.

Barun once said that "anyone can play ASR". He may have been right. But unfortunately he was the one who played it. And once he did, there was just one problem. No one could have played Arnav.
And it is the same for Khushi.

I remember Gul and Barun discussing in the interview that the show was going to be named "Arnav ki Khushi"

It will always be Khushi and Arnav in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?

Totallly Agreed and well said dear. I discovered the show late and the forum even later, so this whole quitting thing started, i was somewhat new to the forum, and i got caught up and believed these "inside sources" in the beginning, a few days later i came to my senses and stayed away from "urgent" posts. all the while my thoughts were my own and i still supported the show to close with out Barun not because of the "inside source" but because my fav love story's integrity was in jeopardy. As an audience and a consumer i feel i have that right. At this point while i'm sad for all the ppl who lost their jobs, but i have to think this is show biz, stuff like this happens all the time. Show shut down b/c of low trps all the time. I guess my point is not all the ppl that supported the show to shut down were part of the "inside sources," ppl like me were genuinely too emotionally attached to Arnav/Khushi and their love story to let it be ruined...in real life love stories aren't perfect... at least we have this reel life epic story we can look fondly back on.

To those ppl who did spread false rumors, Shame on you to be playing with people's life like that.

regarding Barun's interview, when he said he came out feeling stronger about his fanbase, i don't think he was referring to the fans that shut the show down, i really think he was talking about the support his fans have shown him about his quitting the show. He was recently in the UK, and the fan support there for him was enormous so that's probably fresh in his mind. I really don't think he would be proud of the show shutting down. I will read the article again but i also don't think the reported asked him how he feels about the show shutting down.

Good for him that he bagged another role.

I personally think, he lied, quite openly. One of the rumours, if they were, i'd read up on were how he gave 2 months notice. Whether the 2months is correct or not, logically a few weeks notice sounds about fine. BUT, the man lied only a couple of weeks before quitting, saying he was taking a break and will be returning. That, I don't get. Simply say, I quit, personal reasons. That should have sufficed. Given the industry, personal reasons...hmmm need to be elaborated on but as a fan of the show, I would have been happy with his reasoning.

But for him to blatantly lie like that...he really needs a PR!!!

Another thing, that interview with gul, he said that in that mahan purush tone of his how he was doing double shifts , working both for the movie and tv. Uhmmm, dude no asked you to. You had a choice to up and quit, and would've saved a whole lot of trouble for a whole lot of people. Like, i didn't like that tone. It sounded as if he was doing US all a favour!

-Uhmm, I don't know how you came up with that conclusion of him showing no remorse and being proud.

200 people being jobless, i think it comes with being in a tv industry. Many shows get axed/canned cause they ain't pulling in the numbers.

I honestly didn't think that fans could have so much power. I hadn't been following the show and after a few weeks when i was reading a few threads (i don't know what you call them) I came to know that fans "indeed" got the show to khalas. Quite amusing, i thought. The fans would have made a mere thousands compared to the millions who watched the show. So, I still don't think the fans could've got the show to end the way it did.

as i always stated, he used the production house to get the name, once he become famous he left the show.. it is PH who are foolish to select a selfish guy like him for their show, when they know that he is the main lead and romantic stories without main lead will always land up in trouble..

perfect post!! i don blame barun coz he was being human.. nd i don blame teh ppl who fought fr the lovestory coz at the end of the day ipk was a lovestory!! wat really bothers me is those conspiracy theories made by some fans which ruined the image of whole fans !! it really hurts wen barun sobti is bashed coz of the conspiracies made by few fans!!

I do not understand how can an actor be blamed for a show being shut down when things had been going wrong WAY before any such news even made the rounds.

The show had started losing its colour and its feel, pointed out much by many of the people blaming Barun here, for a while and it had been losing on TRPs too and Barun leaving would have been the last straw and hence the closure. Why is he being blamed then?!

The story and maintaining the interest of the audience is the PH and the Creatives responsibility not the actors' and they had been shirking from that for a while.

As far as Barun 'lying' goes...we have NO basis to accuse him of that because just like those who were 'reading' his eyes and his hair, you are reading his words to suit your own. There are many things that go into such announcements including secrecy contracts which even SRK cant break, Barun being too small an actor to do so. He might have been under contract from the channel, the PH or even the movie he has signed or he may have just wanted to keep things to himself for a while or he may have actually be thinking that it would be a break and he would come back...we dont know.

And exactly how did you figure out he was thankful to his 'fans' for the 'closure' of the show or that he was not feeling any remorse for his friends and the staff losing their jobs? Did we read the same interview because as far as I can recall he said nothing to that effect...in fact he only cleared his stand and that too with a decency few would have managed considering how his name has been maligned over the past few months.

As far as the petition makers go - I dont support petitions demanding changes in storylines but I dont disagree with viewer feedback either because at the end of the day, it depends on how strong the storyline is in itself and the PH too because if they are, they wouldnt give a shit about the petitions and neither would the channel.

I do not condone any personal bashing and talking without proof - be it of/for the PH or of/for the actors.

I never called not did I harassed any SP employees. As soon as his quitting news came out I knew he is moving to greener pastures. No harm in that😕

But in all his subsequent interviews he has contradicting himself every step of the way. Even in the last interview he has only talked abt HIS future, his family (which very few people are interested in!!). And not a word abt the show that gave him so much 🤢🤢 and also the people who lost their jobs coz of his fans!!

We will never find those conspiracy theorists as all their theories have been rubbished 😡😲

Unfortunately I am one of the very few that blame him wholly for this mess. If he had been honest & straight forward in his interviews all this conspiracy theories could not have taken such a shape 😲😲

Instead he still pretends to be a simpleton. 🤢😕
