Excellent and bang on post Gandhari. I totally agree with you. I will always be Barun's fan. I liked his acting on Baat Hamarhi paki hai. But after watching him portray asr/ arnav on IPKKND I knew that I will be his fan for life. He deserves everything good coming his way. Ph and sp had long decided not to continue the show. Obvious from all of the tracks they put us through. Ph and sp behaved very unprofessionally. Barun gave them a two month notice and they had all the time to wrap this beautiful love story nicely which would have left all of us with beautiful memories. Gul according to me is not a good professional. If she had any sense she should have closed all of the loops that would have made the actors happy and the fans happy. She has left all of us with such bitter feelings about her show that a lot of us will never watch any of her other shows. She has lost a lot of fans. And now people want us to apolozige to her!!!! For what ? I for one am glad that barun has got another offer for a film. Looking forward to it. That man is so talented. Here's wishing him loads of success in his career and his personal life. And yes I am also a phangirl and proud of it.

Thank you Nebuna...for putting across your view about this. For me Barun was quiet in the beginning because of gag order as a lot of people were askedthat time (mishti, Akshay, Karan) and they all had confirmed he was not leaving. And once he confirmed after the news broke in SBS in November, he has been consistent about wanting a break for his family. If he was guilty of anything ...it was his inability to put across his position clearly, not everyone is media savvy and he has always faltered in interviews (except the one with Gul)

He had said he wanted to leave in Feb, but he left end of Nov...that's quite a lot of months in between and we have had some amazing moments with him during those months...fo me his acting never faltered...his anger was watered down by script post kidnapping...I agree his grooming might not have been like ASR in the beginning...but his acting was to me always at par.

The story is PH's...and the characters are theirs then if they felt he's not putting in 100% and lost interest...they should have fired him...why couldn't they man up and do that? if they get all the credit for everything good about IPK, the bad has to be their responsibility too? if the selectors feel Dhoni is not performing because of his lack of interest, they should fire Dhoni ...and not make the whole team go kaput and then make Dhoni the fall guy?...right? what say?😊

Secondly -- a PH which lacks vision to complete the story they had -- I dont feel any apologetic to them -- I applaud them for the conceptualisation of this path-breaking show -- accloades for whatever they created -- that no can take away the credit -- but they loose all respect when they "cheated" themselves of their own potentiality and "story"

they had ample time to finish till Nov 26 th what they had as story -- and there are 101 ways to take the story forward (if they had any inclination in the first place !!!!) -- Sushant left more than a year back -- PR is still running with a decent position in the charts -- their PH had the conviction to run it -- go back - check his statements -- he had the movie in hand when he left -- but he said other statements -- he had his own reasons -- but this amount of "disrespect" or bashing -- never...

Just because you cant use your logical reasoning or handle disappointment - you cant blame Barun Sobti -- as except following his employer's orders -- he didnt falter anywhere !!!

The only conclusion i have come to at the end of this fiasco is that the so called Barun bashers have such an unhealthy obsession with him that it is pathetic. I would be really sad at the state of affairs if i spent all day, day after day discussing someone i claim to hate and make such crass comments on his personal life and his family🤢. They claim others are delusional but it is pretty clear that everyone here has a set mindset and nothing will change that. So why not respect the others opinion, agree to disagree, why not just forget the past and wish the actor who did his job so well that you cannot think beyond him the best for his future and just MOVE on.

Plus isn't it more than evident that if the PH/Channel had faith in their story and writers to deliver a good product and did not rely so heavily on the talent and charisma of their leads nothing could have brought about this abrupt end to a what was a fantastic story.

I usually stay away from any thread that I dont feel comfortable in...but still have been lectured about my 'drooling' so many times...but have they 'cured' me ? Nah because they were so busy bashing they forget to sometimes read what is being written and to who. and I just dont know how some people have so much negative obsession about Barun that they literally drool for posts about him to bash 😆

I will explain here a small incident that happened in my company which is very relevant to the BS quitting fiasco. My company had a brilliant architect who was damn good - had passion, worked with the company for a long time and took many projects to completion. He wanted to take sabbatical from his job as he wanted to chip in for the company his friend was starting. He talked to his higher ups regarding a sabbatical for 2 yrs - If people don't know it most top networking companies encourage sabbatical for their long term employees so that they can pursue other interests be it volunteer work or something else. Our management was not okay with him taking a sabbatical and gave him 2 options - to quit or continue working without any sabbatical. He took the option to quit and went on with his new company. So what happened to him - nothing, he is enjoying his work and working in new company. And meanwhile what happened to the project that he was handling. It started to struggle a lot as the chief architect was not there and after 3 months of the project going nowhere, he was called back to "handle" the project back as a consultant. Eventually the company paid more to him to finish the project as consultants are paid more than regular employees. That is what happens when the guy is good. The demand for them is always there. It is up to the company to retain them in their best interests. Had my company agreed to his sabbatical and asked him to take after the project was delivered, the company would have saved lot of money and moreover the project would have been delivered on time. That is what is needed for the employers of today. They need to have that "Human touch" when dealing with their employees because ultimately no one is bonded to anyone and everyone is a master of their own will.

Had the PH and SP dealt this thing in a professional manner they would have gained a lot. PH could have adjusted the need for his leave if it was genuine with some good storyline. Else they could have wrapped up Arnav-Khushi's story and could have introduced Sanaya as their daughter. Why didn't they do that. Rather we get stupid tracks and stupid way to bump off the lead. Result - there is lot of negative feedback on the PH. This is a second serial in row that the PH has murdered so badly when their 'new baby' comes onboard. Very soon I expect this PH to run out of channels and the audience are going to ignore it and then they will have no more fans to watch their show.

SP could have handled the situation better rather than running the disclaimer. They could have taken control of the situation but they pretended to turn a blind eye to everything. Net result - I don't think SP is going to have the No.1 GEC status for long and if the rumors of Zee signing an exclusive contract with Barun is true, there goes a big chunk of SP viewership.

SP and PH should first learn how to handle employees with human touch. Until and unless that happens I predict many more such cases. So in all this fiasco, I blame the PH and the SP as they were the employers and they were the ones who were in charge of taking this serial forward and not Barun who was just an employee who job was to just act.

So agree about the lack of professional behavior of two major parties in this whole dealing...we've heard the phrase professionalism thrown in at random that sometimes I seriously wanted to go back and review my knowledge about the term I've been instilled with. and your last sentence sums up the crux of the matter for me.👏

• about all the crappy things they were showing from last 3 months.
  
• When the main lead put down his papers whatever the writers or PH planned.
• Why there was no back plan. Why they come up with open letter?
• Why PH did not utilize that 2 months notice period in a proper way.

All this lead to the conclusion that the PH was least interested in this show. Why to blame the fans? In my opinion at least because of the fans the show got a happy ending. They should thank the fans

See if we put 2 + 2 it is always 4 unless we want to make the "+" about something it's not. so it depends on how we want to see it...our individual perception sometimes fogs our own judgement and we start believing in anything but the 4. so the bullets you put across will be treated as somethings we delusional fangirls cooked up...

about the bashing...well some get really professional when it comes to ripping Barun Sobti apart...everything is fairgame in the name of 'critiquing' 😉
