Unlike naqli Harvard returned bhaiyya, Akshay is actually fairly well-read. There was an interview with him once in which he talked about how a whole bunch of French poets were his favourites. I was impressed.

It seems pretty clear that bhaiyya has burnt his bridges as far as 4 choohas are concerned. I doubt they'd recast him - this was a huge mess for them and they barely emerged intact from it. Also, unlike Kekta maiyya, they don't seem to repeat actors all that much.
