Agree it is Baruns decision and in the end he has to live his life and this is a show ..the people are protesting for what they believed in for the past 1.5 years and what are teeny finally getting.

No one is spoiling anyone's fun ...we ar all hurt and angry.

I don't want his character killed off but at the same time
I don't want to see the show end. For me the biggest draw to the show was Sanaya and the character of Khushi and then the love story (because that love/hate turning to love is a popular theme in Indian dramas and ive seen it often) but a character like Khushi was great to see and I still love watching her story.

I'd prefer there be a door still left open for Barun to return in a action packed suspenseful manner because that will create some of the old ArShi magic that longing and angst which was lost once they got remarried.

Realistically perhaps they should have ended it back then but for whatever reason they feel there still is life in the show perhaps the PH wanted to get it back to its originality and end it on a high rather than a quiet exit but before that could happen Barun decided to leave so now they have to weave the storyline as per that decision.

Principle wise I don't agree that a show should end because one main actor decides to leave its not fair on the rest of the cast which is the case with IPKKND.

Creatively they could have done better and should have stuck to their original plan, I think a lot of creative liberties have been taken whereby the PH have ended up catering to fans rather then following their own story ideas hence all this stuff about last minute script changes or reshoots

I think when a PH stops thinking independentally and listening to whimsical ideas then u loose your essence it's happened with so many shows in the past, Geet & DMG to name a few

With IPKKND it should have ended back in August/September after Shyam's ousting but they carriEd it on and we now have either accept the new track or if we don't then we don't watch it.

As a rule Indian soaps only work so as long as the leads are kept apart because u still have an end objective. Once they are together there is no where to go unless u start thinking children and leaps and or character deaths etc. which is what we have now

Is the death to ASR harsh and brutal? Yes it is (these things always are)
Will it be affective? Yes I think it will have a huge impact to begin with
Will it give IPKKND a new lease of life? Maybe this is the risk that the PH has taken and whether it pays off is difficult to say. 8/10 something like this doesn't and shows end in a few months time. But in some cases it can prolong it for another year and if that happens then anything can happen. It Soap land after all and no one really dies in a show so who knows maybe just maybe ASR might return in a different avatar

They did it with Hitler Didi on Zee tv recently and it worked somewhat rescuing the show for a little bit longer! And maybe it might work in favour of IPKKND

Appreciate the unique love story of Asr and Khushi for what it was and at least be happy that the they haven't brought in another actor to play the role because that's not cool as a viewer

i also understand that but its true that people are attached a lot to this show specially arshi sarun so at this they are hurt bcoz the way things were handled unprofessionally about his exit
if aproper press release was done maybe fans would hv accepted in a better way

dont know about how the protest is turning out but i hope it is peaceful and not hurtful just laying out that fans love sarun and want them as arshi and if not a proper closure to their love story and continue with a new generation
but it will be hard for me to watch ipk without barun thats my honest opinion i cannot lie about this i barely watch serials i last 12 yrs in usa but baruns magic made me subscribe dish and get star and i had called star when i did thanking for giving me ipk and barun was reason i enjoy watching the show
one thing i want to say is we r with barun no matter what show or no show

Me and many of my friends here in US are not going to watch. Viewers these days are intelligent viewers. They do not want any crap thrown at them.That is why people wanted Barun to stay and wanted PH to end the show in a more dignified way. Anyway that did not happen. I feel like I was reading a beautiful book and suddenly the pages were torn and I am never going to find out how it all ended.I don't know who to blame. Maybe no one as we all are humans and have our limitations.Break , Quit, Family , wife, Longish break, movie offers blah blah blah was thrown at viewers and left the fans more and more confused. I don't blame fans either as they were attached to the show and wanted it to continue and were conflicting suggestions.

What did you all expect it's a Hindi Indian serial which compared to many had a decent storyline to begin with although even them some of it was a little bit far fetched but again objectively a Hindi show any show is always good for the first year after that it dips its normal because naturally the story runs its course.

Then you get the light hearted tracks looks at shows like YRKKH or Pavitra Rishta or some of the other longer running shows all of these have lost that essence they first essayed yet they are continuing because the fan base is a lot older and aren't too fussed with the mediocre story lines

With IPKKND the fans seem to complain about any track that is used and I'm by saying they are all great but what more can 4 Lions do. Obviously they want to run the show til December or Jan and don't want to end it before that. Unfortunately Barun has decided to leave before

And as for fans suggesting storylines yes some have creative ideas but some don't and you can't just use any old story. Sometimes if it looks good on paper doesn't mean it will translate as well on screen

There should be no need
for these silly protests and calls for actors to quit the show and effectively their jobs because of one actors personal choice to leave and or if the storyline isn't their cup of coffee

@ nazmobile ... Love all your comments. I totally agree with all of it ( the post and this comment as well) I've seen a lot of Indian shows too and I understand what you're saying. Btw I used to watch bidaai loved it and I know same thing happened there. I was upset for a while but at the end of the day it's fiction and actors do have real life and dreams out of it which they've a right to pursue. Barun has made his decision and even if he's not sure about his long term plans as of now , what's wrong in that , it's ok to answer he doesn't know if he'll come back or not.
I think mature thing is to move on. ( though it will makd us sad for somd time )

Good one. Some fans are even...I don' have words to say. They are bashing Viraf on his twitter with bAd words. Good god he is replying in fun way. But it's really bad to treat him like that. Its barun's decision. What did Viraf do here. I really pity on some fans. They are really making mess. I'm not understanding why can't people wait until the story unfolds. Every track there was a protest.

I agree!! I was actually looking for an unbiased update and you provided that!! So thank you!! I even had to make a post to get an honest update but obviously it was ignored!! 😆 It irritated me too about the "Sanaya Quit" posters!! 🤢 As if Sanaya would be all ready and willing!! 🤔

I understand that your are excited about seeing Sarun and that you traveled a long way for that. But please do not undermine people's efforts to try and do something about the happy ending of the show.
