for those who are saying protest against sp & ph..."sanaya quit" what does this statement say???
how hurt will sanaya be on seeing that

I think the fans who were trying to protest weren't too successful and after that they like the rest started to enjoy the SPL evening event.

They themselves didn't ask the direct question of why he's leaving or insinuate if he was forced so again my point being (one I made in another post) its easier to shout and scream behind a tv/pc/laptop screen and or talk to 'phone operators' but when in reality you see there isn't anything serious going on there really isn't a reason to start asking or complaining.

Barun's attitude and appearance seems fine he's not concerned in the slightest and Sanaya is equally fine.

Obviously again objectively speaking they are at an event and enjoying themselves but I've bumped into them a few times even now at breakfast and they seem to be normal about it all

In regards to press releases and confirmations yes it could have been handled better like when Akshay and Deepali released statements but then perhaps they were hoping (the PH) that Barun might change his plans or just take an extended leave/break instead of deciding to "quit" the show.

I don't think his interview was scripted with Gul if anything it was less of an interview and more of a general conversation and he was doing most of the talking. And that is the way he talks we have seen so many of his tv interviews and SBS snippets and he never clearly articulates a point it's always Sanaya who gives the better answers.

At the end of the day the SP Phone operating staff aren't going to know what to say as they arent the PH
Gul has tried to deal with the situation as best as she can and maybe they could have dealt with it better but everytime something like this has happened with a big lead star and PH it always goes down the same way the reaction is the same and the handling of the situation is the same because the fans react a lot more passionately than the actual people involved.

Yet when the star makes a return to the show everything goes back to normal.

You say that in person it's difficult to protest and it's easy t call or type..well unfortunately ths event wasn't organised in India Bt in UK..

Agree its high time people should come out of their bubble and see the reality.the posters are quite harsh specially the sanaya quit one we cant force one mans pov lets accept the fact.

I dont think that people are protesting that BS quit! They are unhappy with the idea of seeing ASR DEAD or seeing Khushi with another man!

I think as people who watched this "Star Crossed" love story for 18 months, we have the RIGHT to expect a good end to the story! THIS is all the fans asked for!

I also BLAME SP, coz they DANCED around this issue for WEEKS! Unlike other actors who openly give a statement when they are thinking of quitting or give notice to a show, Barun was prevented from being Frank because of SPL! SP did not want their Ticket sales to go down, so they USED the fans and their love for this show, SARUN and ARSHI to get more sales!

They kept giving DIFFERENT versions of the story to people who called or contacted SP! SP took the viewers for a RIDE when they were FULLY aware that the PH was planning to KILL the ASR charachter and bring in another male lead! Barun attended this event as ASR of IPKKND, when SP is fully aware that PH has already shot ASR's DEATH scene!

Therefore I think people should have protested for the UNFAIR and MISLEADING behaviour of SP! They deserve to be set down for the way they have treated the audience with DISRESPECT and CONTEMPT!

Well said..I am glad that the few so called protestors proved to be a damp squib..It would have been embarrassing for both barun and sanaya, and after all they have done to entertain us,we should just let them have their moment of glory in peace..Its 100 percent clear that there is no conspiracy and no one is to blame..They spend all their time shooting, atleast let them enjoy this event in peace..

i have to say i really liked your post and your follow up comments.. as a fan of the show, i would love to continue to see barun as ASR, but he is a professional actor with a life of his own..

and i personally, would be sad if he decides to quit.. but it is obvious, everyone associated with the show seems to have made peace with that decision.. so why would I, as a mere fan, want to affect/influence that decision?
