If this protesting and fighting does/does not work - what is it going to happen?

a) Barun stays back - though he's clearly stated he doesn't want to. So we are forcing him to stay?

b) Barun does not stay back - but according to the demands that means that either:

i. Sanaya is out of a job.
ii. The show shuts down.

c) Viraf is Anjali's man - what happens with Khushi? If the audience could not handle 2 minutes of Daljeet on screen, how are they going to handle a love story with Daljeet featuring in it? Also I am completely against telling the creatives how to do their job, even though they have done a crappy job this year, because that's what they get paid to do.

I am just wondering what all these protests, fights, spams, suicide notes, etc etc are going to achieve?

Exactly. It's like when they ask people in the Bible Belt whether or not they think abortion should be illegal and they say "Yes because abortion is evil." but then when they say "Oh, so you think all women who have had or ever will have an abortion should go to jail?" they say "Of course not." And then when the interviewer points out that making something illegal means there has to be some sort of punishment for doing it... they're completely stumped.

Just a complete lack of logical thought.

Like Tiya said, I didn't say anything about the protests or the unsubscribing or the crying and the sobbing and the hysteria- whatever. But when they threaten things like suicide and hunger strikes and encourage others- including the younger and more easily influenced members of the forum- to do the same... Things that may just make Star Plus sit up and take note-

What then?

Its funny how you can threaten to die over a guy who clearly doesn't give a damn, than just pause and pray for something worthwhile..
I know somebody who has spent every single paisa of her balance on calling Barun. She has called them up and told them she'd kill em, they are killing her, the whole world is dying cause BS is leaving and whatnot. When she heard about this (by which I mean I forcefully shoved the video down her sick, miserable throat) she merely shrugged and asked "so?"
What I want to highlight is that people HONESTLY need a life outside IPK and Barun. Please grow up, dress classy, go on a few dates, pick up that hobby you always wanted to do but never found time for, start that diet... just get a life. Please.
I understand you love a show, but this obsession is unhealthy, almost psychotic. And above all, its scary. No really. Its freaky. This person I know sleeps at three AM after spamming/calling SP... wakes up at 7AM, and starts calling again. That crazy.
And above all, STOP wasting time. Put it into something more constructive. And I'm sorry but calling SP does not constitute under 'consturctive use of time' Just sayin.

And to everyone who says their ArHi dreams/belief in love/belief in ArHi/customer deals/didn't read enough posts to add another line-- have been broken, just so you know, so have been those of that mother who lost her baby. So have been those of that wife who will never be able to see her husband again. So have been those of that father who'll never be able to teach his son how to ride a bicycle again. And while you whine to SP's peons about yours, they can do nothing. Because people like you are whining to SP's peons instead of helping them.
There I said it.

I guess what's frustrating me is the extent to which this has been blown out of proportion. First it started off with protests to retain Barun, soon it escalated to petitions to get the storyline changed, PH changed, channel to do something, spamming, emailing, threatening, sending suicide notes etc etc, knowing that all of this would pressurise the channel to take a drastic action - all for what?

And like Tiya and yourself pointed out - it's saddening to see all of this get encouraged.

I also hate how peeps have time enough to PM a million times everyday about Barun quitting and what not, but cannot find time enough to just spend ONE minute and rethink life.
As chutki put it- Yes, your dreams to see Arnav and Khushi with chunnu and munnu were spoilt... so were they dreams of the woman who just lost her kids.

I agree with you arisai.
However, I can also see why some people will want to keep fighting for their chosen cause. Everyone fights for what is important to them, no matter how ridiculous it appears to others. ( Religion is a ridiculous cause to fight for in my view but a substantial proportion of the world's population dies in the name of religion!)
Gaza or Syria does not have to figure in everyone's top ten causes to fight for.
The fans need to carry on this fight for themselves- they are in grief, and all this denial, protest and fighting is part of the grieving process, till they will eventually come to accept the situation.
They will all arrive at this stage in their own time.
The fans need to do this so that they can rest assured that they have done everything they can for their cause.
In the meantime, it would help if the rest of us try to have some empathy for them.
I am not commneting on the right or wrong of this- but simply taking a more empathic view here.

I think as an audience we have the right to exercise our powers by either watching or not watching the show - not to interfere in the lives of others in such a manner. This is just my personal opinion.

@Bold

THIS.

They are unwilling to give a new guy a chance and want to ruin it for everyone else in the process as well. A very noble cause indeed.

Really spare me.
