BARUN SOBTI - SELF INDULGENCE ENGIMA _ PLEASE READ!
"Self-Indulgence - It's something like making a pact with the Devil. When we self-indulge, we obtain the object of our desire up front—whether it's some glorious "high" or we get a roller-coaster type thrill that enables us to experience an excitement not available to us otherwise or an almost rapturous sense of tranquility that before then may have been painfully elusive . But the "bill" for such self-indulgence— i.e., the associated "costs" of our intemperance—invariably arrives later" - Psychology Today.
Hello dear ladies, hope you are all holding up with all the current issues going on with your much loved show… My darling other half is feeling very distraught with the happenings in her favourite show as well as with professional issues… she had to make some hard hitting decisions which resulted in, 8 staff been made redundant; this has been really difficult for her…
Here we have a young man, who by nature is very shy, reserved and a very private person; he has tried to keep his personal and professional life separate.. he lacks PR skills, he is not great at giving interviews but he still preserves and obliges and gives interviews where at times his words are misconstrued, butchered and represented in a whole new different light..
I want each and everyone of you lovely ladies (including my wife!) to put yourselves in :
1. his wife's shoes; how upsetting and traumatic all this must be for her, the strain it must be putting on their relationship, how desperately she must be trying to support him, how she must be feeling reading the so called fans bashing and disrespecting him, calling him a liar, unprofessional, uncaring..
2. His parents shoes; their son whom they love and are proud of.. how they must be feeling knowing he has become a victim of his own success, their dilemmas of how to support him not being from the harsh entertainment industry.. No parents on this earth can endure the heartache, pain and suffering of any kind that their children go through.. No doubt his sister must be going through hell as well for brother that she ties Rakhi on each year; a brother that promises to protect her; she too will be feeling his every single pain..
3. His shoes; does he not have the right to develop his career, to venture into new horizons, to learn more, to secure his future financially? Why have people forgotten his dedication and commitment to the show, through thick and thin, his staunch support for the PH, CV and directors?
Why are viewers so selfish and opposed to looking at change positively? Would we pass up opportunities that directly affect our health and wellbeing, our day to day lives or financial securities for our families? This young man is under a lot of pressure, all quarters, be it the PH, SP or the viewers are closing the noose around his neck for their own needs and gratifications; his health is suffering and that is plain for all to see…
My request is please support him in whatever decision he takes.. Don't forget he has given the viewers endless unforgettable moments and entertained us like no other..
For my part I would like to whole heartedly wish this talented young man and his family all the very best for now and the future.
