Well I guess before I start out my post…I very well know that I am going to be bashed left right and center for saying what I am about to say…..infact…..some may not even read it completely n go on to simply curse me….
Oh well….all I will say to that is…..BE MY GUEST FOR ALL I CARE…..BUT….Atleast listen n carefully read what I have to say…
Ok be honest to yourself n tell me….how many of u have seen TV actors pull this stunt of leaving a TV show to fulfill their bolly dreams??? How many of u have seen dese very TV actors make a rebound into Tellyland only after having hard rocks of reality hit their heads?? And how many of these TV actors have actually made it BIG in the Bollywood??
The is…..there IS…WAS n WILL ALWAYS be only 1 such grand persona….and that's SRK…a destiny's child who was born to make it BIG despite all odds in his life!!...
And no I am not going to sit here n talk about SRK…..but rather about ur one and only BARUN SOBTI!!
So we all by now have signals….which point to BS leaving the show….possibly by Nov 23rd. What's the authenticity of this rumor…..no one knows….n I am not even going to analyze that even……If he leaves….he leaves….We as the viewers have our every right to either continue watching or turn our backs n march off this show n invest time elsewhere….but if he stays…..HALLELIUAH ….We get more time to witness the talents of BS and SI portray our lovable ArHi on screen!!
My question tho is based on the dangling factor of "BS possibly leaving"…..
Do u guys think it is even a smart move by Barun to leave a show that gave him the fame…name n adulation he has today for a dream that has no certainty at all?? Is it even viable for him to take such a risk especially when lots of us have seen almost 98% of these TV actors usually end up getting lost in the millions of people out dere trying to hit it off in the Bollywood and especially when he has a show by his side dat has not only gave him another identity but also is a means of his bread n butter??
No I have no right to question him on his personal choices….he is free to do wat he wishes…..but don't these actors realize that they owe it to the audience who gave them such height of fame?? Being a celebrity comes with a price…and that is that u are foreva bonded with the public n u owe a responsibility towards them.
Here's the biggest problem lots of these TV actors have. They think of TV as just a MERE TV….a mini version of fame….a gateway to the bigger palace…a training ground to enter the battlefield. And this in itself is a sad thot!
Yes….this theory held true when SRK was in the TV industry. And THIS was a huge factor of contribution to SRK's success today apart from the fact that he rubbed lots of asses to get to where is today. Not many knew him when he came to the industry….he worked hard….made high profile connection…..did all the politics of a shrewd businessman to get to where he wanted…..n let's not forget…..he had LUCK…FATE n DESTINY working by his side. But can everyone one be SRK??? The answer is NO!! The main reason being…….times have changed drastically!!
TV industry is no longer wat is used to be. Thanks to Ekta Kapoor who changed the meaning of TV foreva that today…..even huge stars have to resort to TV shows to promote their movies. Such is the caliber of TV….but alas some of these actors don't realize n keep running after wat is looking green on the other side.
Fine….Barun has Bollywood dreams….n he wants to materialize them….I am NOT condemning him for that. He has every right to make a choice. His venture in IPK gave him that confidence ….that magnitude that he is able to venture out of TV land…FINE again. But does he really have to ditch a commitment he made earlier which made him capable to making more commitments today???
Remember…..its never the actor …but its always the character that gives the actor the fame. It's the finesse writing of the character that gives the actor the zone to pose n explore his/her talents n I must commend the writers of ASR's character here for producing this gem of character called ASR which millions will remember foreva.
NO….m not saying Barun did do anything…..ofcourse he blew life into the character…..but he was able to succeed in portraying him so ecstatically was coz the character itself was so well written!! And lets not forget all the other behind the camera ppl…editing…sound….directors….etc…etc….who actually produce the final result of wat u see on screen. That's why its called team work!
I as a viewer feel terrible to see a TITANIC of show die the death its headed towards. This show deserved a dignified end…..and atleast an end where the 2 majors actors stay put till the last frame…..Alas……it may never happen….
Its not uncommon for people to run behind greener pastures….we all do…we are humans afterall….with dreams….aspirations and of course desires of sorts!! I guess wat tugs at my heart is wen people cannot appreciate wat they have n run for something that's unknown and amidst becum unfaithful to deir own commitments….words thereby hurting so many that are simply innocent of all!!
Personally….my respects for Barun wud have grown leaps n bounds had he finished wat he started and then gone out to explore his options……coz for me….commitment is huge…..and I personally believe that if u make a commitment……stay put with it….till the commitment itself leaves u……
Ne ways…..I guess…..with Barun….we are once again in to witness yet another TV actor venture out to materialize his Bollywood dreams. How far he will succeed….only time will tell….I can only wish him luck……BUT personally…..I don't think it's a smart move…..not that I doubts Barun's talents….but yes…I doubt the Bollywood industry itself…..That industry has a politics of its own and unless u as an outsider are being launched by YRF, KJo…SLB or any other top notch PH of Bollywood…..the chances of making a mark in Bollywood is extremely LOW….and that's a reality…..take it or leave it!!
