5 years into marraige and I was been somewhere to attend a technical session and I had borrowed my Hubby's mobile as my mobile had some issues...

I usually dont go through his message list or contact list... and that day he had called to get some number which was in the mobile I was using... I took it out and gave him just before the session started but then my eyes fell on one of the names to which he had frequently messaged and curiously he had used the word dear in most of those messages..

We girls normally use dear, hun, sweet for our friends... but men normally dont do it and the name was a unisex one... My hubby sent me another short reply message... why what happened?... I didnt reply.. he started calling me... that I had to cut the call some 3 or 4 times when I was inside the session.. and all this urgency only added ghee to my fire and by the time the morning session ended I was literally thinking of going home... with a bad headache I attended his call again... to shout at him and he was sounding all confused .. asking me why I was asking about a random member who was reporting to him..

I was like .. Oh she reports to you?

"she .. no it is a he..."

"really? who addresses a team member...a subordinate as dear that too a man?"

then it was like all hell broke loose He started laughing like a maniac and I was here burning with anger...

then he told that the boy was from a small town and a fresher and he was very timid kind of and not only my hubby but the whole team used to treat him like a kid, And some time when my hubby had tried to be strict with him he had actually cried saying that he is feeling homesick and all that... so he started addressing him dear from then on...to make him get rid of his homesickness...

then he asked me what I was thinking... I knew he was having gala time... discovering my possessiveness and all that... I lamely told him he stopped calling me dear long time back but still calls someone else dear... I tried to pull his legs with addressing a "boy" as dear and all that but he beat me to it... and started teasing me badly...

But later when I browsed through the messages, I could see the messages made a lot of sense from the official perspective...

Few days later, I got a chance to meet that boy and was very scared that he would mention that incident to that boy ... but thankfully he didnt,

but still he remembers that incident and calls me to dear when he wants to annoy me...
